i can only say disappointed, we went for a carvery at 12.30 mid day on sunday 2nd dec, this was for my mothers 91st birthday. the pub was empty, we had booked a table which the staff knew nothing about when asked so we sat down, the carvery was brought out while we waited which was fine as the food was going to be hot.we got our carvery, the yorkshire puddings were inedible as they were so tough you couldnt even cut them let alone eat them, the beef was also tough but the pork seemed to be ok. the vegetables were very nice actually and sometimes food can be a bit iffy. the real problem was the service - DIABOLICAL! what service! the pub was empty but your staff didnt come over to ask if the food was ok which it wasnt and bearing in mind we sat at the table for over 1 hour they never came over to clear the plates either, we were going to have pudding as well, it was advertised on the board outside but never offered so if you had any we dont know what it was, but decided as the service was so bad to leave, we told the girl behind the bar how disappointed we were at the service, she looked very sheepish. this is not good enough! i suggest you retrain your staff!
