It's true that Premier Inn beds are really comfortable and for an over night business trip there's not much else you need. However, they really need to bring their bathrooms up to some sort of similar standard. My bathroom was not clean (I do not like sharing with someone else's hair), smelled of feet (I think it was the shower curtain) and the extractor was so noisy and ran for so long after switching the light off that you're better off trying to manage in the dark.
The on site restaurant was as expected - not that inspiring but the prices are reasonable. They claimed to be extremely busy and we couldn't sit down for 45 minutes, actually there were a lot of empty tables but (I presume) not enough waiting staff for all of them. The breakfast was very tasty but it did take 40 minutes to arrive.
All in all, it was an okay stay and the staff were very friendly, but nothing to set the world of hospitality on fire.

Overall a pleasant stay, but disagree with Premier Inn Policy to not allow 16 year olds to stay in family room. This means that families have to split up and pay for 2 rooms - not so family friendly!!

Whenever I stay away from home, wether that is pleasure or buisness the first hotels I look for is 'Premier Inns'. I enjoyed all of the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. I love the comfort and largeness of the beds.

Overall a very good experience at this Premier Inn. This one is opposite the Tesco store in Barnstaple. Location is now quite quiet due to the By-pass around Barnstaple town centre. As long as you follow directions not to difficult to find. Evening meal and breakfast both good and while the breakfast is good value for money the evening meal can get a little expensive when including cost of drinks. Quality of food during our overnight stay was good. Room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. Comfort could be improved by providing more control over room temperature as we found our room quite warm during the night. All staff were friendly and helpful.
