I study in Durham, and when my parents come visiting, it is a very good hotell to stay in. Not worth paying more money for the Radisson hotel, because the different is not so big that it´s worth paying much more.

Have just returned from a 2 night break with my husband and 21 month old son. We were very impressed and nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly and lovely staff. Our room was large and very clean, perfect for families. We had pre-booked breakfast which was really good and also ate in the restaurant on one lunctime and one evening. At all times the food was really good and very good value for money.
Everything was very child friendly and we were able to relax in the knowledge that whatever we needed for a small child was simply no trouble.
The location is great and there was nothing we could really fault.
Many thanks to all the staff, including Andrea who we found to be lovely and who looked after us very well.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the leisure centre and it was very quiet.

Durham city centre premier inn is in a great location. The bars and restaurants are just behind the hotel and the market square and shops just 2 min walk. The rooms were really clean and comfortable and all the staff were friendly except one. The breakfast waitress (Andrea) was quite rude when we came down for breakfast but hadn't booked. She said the restaurant was full and that we should of booked with it being on a Sunday. But when we checked in, we weren't sure if we would of wanted breakfast and were told we could just pay in morning. She showed us to our table n told us just to help ourselves to Buffett then asked for our hot food order. We explained we wanted to wait n decide and she said she would try and get back to us. She didn't come back so we asked someone else to take our order. Next time I think we'll go somewhere else for breakfast.

This Premier Travel Inn is a new modern building, clean, close to the City centre and has very helpful staff. We had 2 adults, 2 children (15/13) staying in the one room comfortably. While the hotel is close to numerous bars and restaurants there were no issues with noise at night. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant which, while very busy, was well worth the wait and excellent value! Highly recommend this hotel as a excellent place to stay in Durham.

Room Tip: ask for the leisure centre side of the hotel which is the other side from the bars
