Had a great stay here.Room was very clean.Great location & easy to get to.
Decided to have breakfast on our last morning but a but disappointed with members of staff on breakfast duty.Firstly they couldn't find us on the list (we had booked & paid the night before) but let us go ahead anyway. But not one member of staff explained to us how it worked. Then after being there 10 minutes all hot food was gone.So not really all you can eat unless you want cereal/yoghurts etc.But did over hear staff tell people arriving that it was to be ordered but it was still all you can eat.Not one member of staff made us aware of this.
Left us feeling uncomfortable.
Would stay here again as reception staff were brilliant just won't book in for breakfast in the future.

This hotel is handy for everything in the city centre. Walkable (15 minutes) from the station although it is a good down hill route (steep going back to the station)!

This is a typical Premier Inn hotel, it is clean and smart and has a bar / restaurant (although we did not eat there). All rooms are en-suit, have tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, and plus other little things like hair dryers etc.

We stayed on a Sunday night and the hotel was very quiet. I cannot vouch for what it is like on busy nights! We also experienced very little noise from the streets outside (it was not a busy street!).

A good quality budget hotel (we booked months in advance and got the room for £29 for the night! Plan ahead – book well in advance!

I've stayed here on several occasions and never been disappointed. It has everything you could wish for, locality to the various restaurants that are nearby, a theatre only two mins away and the attractive City square which is about 5 mins walk. The Premier Inn is modern, built just a few years ago and is kept spotless with great staff. Although it is close to all the facilities and attractions that Durham has to offer, I've never had any problems with noise spoiling things and at night and you've always got the Premier Inn good night promise. Even although this is a fairly new PI, I did notice on our recent visit that they now have installed triple glazing and new flat screen Samsung TVs with fabulous picture quality. If you want a decent price, you have to book well in advance. For parking, there's an NCP car park at the rear. One you've got your ticket, take it to the PI reception in order for the staff to stamp it for a 10% reduction.

I'm a big fan of the Premier Inn generally which I find offers consistent quality of service. However, the Premier Inn Durham City Centre was particularly notable for its great location and the quality of its staff. They were, without exception, friendly, helpful and great fun. You pay £7.70 per day for the multi-storey car park at the rear of the hotel but it was very convenient and only a stone's throw away so, personally, we didn't mind this. Would highly recommend.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and the rooms are everything you expect from Premier Inns. There is only a small bar area in this hotel and it was particularly busy on our visit but staff were quick to direct us to a table in the dining area to enjoy our drinks in comfort. A lovely hotel in a good location.
