Durham Cathedral is a must if you’re in to historic places. The size of the place takes your breath away. The staff are welcoming and love telling you about the cathedral. All they ask for is a £3 donation on entry. I would love to add some photos of the inside but no cameras allowed. This is a shame as I’m sure that with more people could see it than they may wish to go and see it themselves. Maybe they could love at a small charge to allow you to take pictures. I would have gladly have paid.

So much history.
A beautiful building that holds so much history in relation to the UK, Religion, Film as well as Architecture and Engineering. The final resting place of two saints in Bede and Cuthbert. There is so much to see with many different exhibits and chapels.

There are services that are open to the public at varying times of the week.

The coffee and books shops are also excellent.

If you like magnificent buildings and remarkable architecture then Durham Cathedral will impress. Admission is FREE but there are tours etc for which a fee is charged. The cafe is great both in its location and food and drink. Good website.
