Went to Durham cathedral with choir. Time to admire this wonderful cathedral. Beautiful, serene and very holy place steeped in history. Went on a guided tour, wonderful man explained things you would never spot. Had as small prayer service in st cuthberts tomb which was very uplifting.

You can’t go to Durham without visiting the cathedral . A Beautiful majestic building situated at the end of quite a steep walk for us less able , but definitely worth it . Staff are extremely helpful and go out there way for all their visitors . Lovely gift shop for that souvenir of a lovely day out .

The cathedral is simply stunning! Just make a donation and drink in all that history! The atmosphere is so tranquil, even though there were lots of visitors. There is a lovely cafe and gift shop too, so you can buy a small momento and have a lovely piece of cake!!

Spent £5 to go on the tour, which you can book at reception- we had Mike who was brilliant, brought a wonderful building and its history to life - lasted about an hour so glad I did it, I have a totally better and different perspective than just walking around which I did the day before. Thank you - This is a must see and do when in Durham
