I, being a lover of fish and chips, was happy that my girlfriend suggested that we try dinner in the restaurant part of Bells. Having been before for a take-away and having thoroughly enjoyed it (see my previous review), it seemed a nice change to have a sit down meal in a fish and chip restaurant.
We both enjoyed two courses, the starter came with a salad and the main was on a huge plate. There was plenty of food and so really good value for money. I went off-menu a little and asked to add a battered sausage to my meal, which they happily catered for! - Even offering to give me it on a separate plate.
Even my girlfriend, who often finds fish and chips rather greasy, enjoyed her meal from Bells, particularly the starter of hot and spicy prawns. With chips cooked in the traditional fat drippings it's hard not to find them moreish!
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a cheery atmosphere to it, making it an extremely pleasant meal.
