The staff are absolutely fantastic, they chat and exhibit real life rather than a pretend we give a XXXX attitude. Food is always good and they dint take the piss out of pricing for either food or drink. Great feel to the place too along with own brewed beer what could anyone possibly wish for (G&T Distillery/Whisky Distillery and some dancing hores possibly ?)

mrs and myself were camping nearby on the way back to base after an afternoon sightseeing and feeling quite peckish decided to pop in for a snack we were greeted by our a staff member who asked if we were eating then showed us to a table she asked if we had eaten there then offered us menus and informed us to order at the bar when ready the menu is quite extensive and varied with something for all we made our selections I went for the new York burger with chips mrs plumped for the slow cooked feather blade with sweet potato fries went to the bar to order and get drinks a beer for me and tea for mrs d back at our table had a chance to look around we were in a well decorated room which had access to a patio with great views our food arrived in good time wow looked stunning warmed plates large portions homemade chips the food was delicious looking round at the other diners meals this seemed to be the norm the cost of the meal was quite competitive the atmosphere was good the staff were polite and knowledgeable and made us feel at home we visited twice more that week and had a good experience every time

We visited on a Friday evening and tried the Friday menu. It's fish and chips for 2 with a bottle of wine. Excellent value and very good cod. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was good too. We will definitely return and have no hesitation recommending. My Dad had the Cumberland ring with mash which was well presented and he really enjoyed it.

Visiting family in the area and went to the Three Horseshoes as it had been recommended as dog friendly. Unfortunately when we arrived the dog friendly area had been booked for a private function. We were about to leave but a kind gentleman (I am assuming the landlord) offered us a table in a quiet part of the restaurant with the dog. We were happy to take up the offer and had a lovely lunch. Good customer service goes a long way and will be back when next in the area
