“Durham Coastal Path”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Living close to this coast-line, we are able to visit it frequently and its beauty never disappoints us. Traditionally, this was a very industrial area and the coast and beaches reflected this. However, money has been invested into the area and the beaches and towns have been cleaned up. Once again, the coast-line stands tall, proud and beautiful. My husband and I enjoy the raw beauty of the cliffs, the rocks and the sand and always enjoy walking along parts of the Durham Coastal path which is 11 miles in length, starting at Seaham in the north and finishing at Crimdon in the south. As well as it being great place for walkers, it is also an amazing place for people interested in nature as there is a vast wealth of wildlife to be seen along this coast-line.

“Interesting, Windy and cold”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

Visited Seaham. The first part of our walk was around the harbour. Really disappointed not to be able to visit the lighthouse (fisherman only) second part was from Nose's Point. That was a good walk but you need to wrap up!! The wind off the sea was biting :)

“Hartlepool”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

Up until we went I always thought of Hartlepool as an industrial town. We parked next to the marina, and we could have been in another country. Big cafe culture, and lots of cafes to choose from. The lovely sunshine helped too.
