“lovely coffee and cake ”
Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

we stopped in here to warm up after a morning walk round Durham. There were several cafes in the vicinity to choose from and we picked Ciao Ciao for its location on the bridge and because its cakes looked so delicious . We found we had chosen well. Both the hot drinks and the cakes lived up to their promise and i would definitely call in again if I was nearby.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

I visited this coffee shop today just to get out of the rain in between meetings and I was absolutely thrilled to have stumbled across such a delightful little place! The food was beautiful, so tasty and reasonably priced and the staff were very welcoming! I only wish I lived closer so I could make this my local!

“Best coffee in north east England”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

Ciao Ciao isn't big, but size isn't necessarily directly proportionate to quality; my macchiato was superb and the French apple tart was sublime
