This exhibition was truly impressive, not just for the range and quality of the artefacts on display but for the courtesy and efficiency of the staff. The queuing system worked well as did the way in which we were allowed to view the exhibits without feeling we were being pressurised to move on. The actual displays were very well-presented and the staff were at pains to keep the cabinets free from fingerprints by doing the rounds with dusters!
We have been to many exhibitions and this certainly ranks as one of the best. Congratulations and thanks to all concerned.

Can't express how good this was. Ticketmaster managed to mess up the numbers in our tour but the guides ushered us past the coach trip which was nice. An amazing experience, unhurried and the way they managed numbers was perfect. A truly, truly memorable experience.

opportunities to see the gospels dont come around very often, exhibition ends on 30th sept.a fascinating and enjoyable way to get to grips with the history of the time and era.what a shame that the gospels will be heading south for preservation think they should stay in the north east permanently, everyone should get the chance to see these items which form a rich part of our history

Great to visit the North East again to see these fabulous Lindisfarne Gospels.
Wish they could stay in Durham close to the tomb of St Cuthbert.
Tickets were only £7.50 which I dont consider expensive considering ,were and how they were exhibited.
The exhibition was running late ,when I visited although it was only 15 minutes behind the scheduled time for my ticket.
Jimmy the security guard was welcoming and very funny ,he was great entertaining the crowd.
