I stayed at the Premier Inn Durham East in early June for 1 night.
I was made very welcome by the receptionist who answered all my questions as well as having a good general chat.
My room was up to the usual high standard of cleanliness and comfort.
The resteraunt meal was of good quality, things were a little more noisy than usual as there was a 90th birthday party at the same time. That was not a problem.
I enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning.

All in all a good experience and I will always recommend Premier Inns to people.

Room Tip: I think my room was on the North side and was away from the road into the industrial park. Therefore it was quiet. It faced Durham FC's football ground.

Just got back from my stay in Durham,it was up to the usual high standards set by Premier Inn.The hotel was easy to find, a two minute drive off the A1,tucked away on a small quiet industrial estate.A five minute drive takes you into the centre of Durham, with plenty of parking this is an ideal base for visiting the city. The rooms where clean, warm and spacious,we where greeted with smiles and given our room keys with an explanation of the hotels facilities.I really enjoyed this stay and would not hesitate to recommend Premier Inn East Durham.

Fabulous service from staff - better than many 4 star hotels. We felt that it was genuinely important to them that we enjoyed our stay. The room was as advertised with better design and layout than many I've stayed in. We had breakfast the next morning which was also good quality and good value. Will definitely stay with Premier Inn again

We stayed at this hotel, for the second time, to drop our son off at university. We had a great stay last time but this time it was exceptional. We had pre-booked a table at a restaurant in town and had asked the receptionist to book us a taxi - she tried every firm in Durham bit could not get one. She then said that there was no way we were going to miss our meal and insisted on taking us to town in her car - this is totally unheard of in my experience of staying in UK budget hotels!! This is what I mean by "going the extra mile(s)!!
This has insured that whenever we have to stay in Durham for the university drop off / collection then we will always stay at the Durham East Premier Inn. To go into more "mundane" details about the hotel it's great value for money, rooms and bathrooms clean and tidy, breakfast excellent value for money. The only, and I do mean only complaint is that you are not supplied with biscuits to have with the tea/coffee in your rooms - but I'm sure that we can forgive them for this
