“Nice people & great value”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

The food and facilities are typically Premier Inn but the people were so pleasant at this particular Premier Inn that they deserve a 'very good' rated review, Both receptionists I met were exceptionally friendly and well briefed and the staff at the adjoining Dunelm Ridge restaurant could not have been more helpful. A very enjoyable night's stay

my husband and I decided to stay at this hotel for our wedding anniversary as it was close to our home (first time we left our children overnight) and we love the restaurant next door.

receptionist was the loveliest lady very frendly and helpful, bedroom was very clean, tidy & spacious only downfall was that the bath was not as clean as i would have left it for someone staying in a hotel (i clean hotel rooms myself and would never leave hairs behind). we did not complain however because the receptionist was so lovely and it wasnt her fault the cleaning staff where not as particular as they should be. had it not been for this little hiccup would have been the perfect stay

Whenever i stay at the Premier Inn i find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and fresh and the price is affordable too! I wouldn't go anywhere else, as i know whenever i stay at the hotel, it will be pleasant and i'll be sleeping well that night! A Brewers Fare is adjacent to the hotel and i've had some nice meals there. I'm looking forward to have many more enjoyable evenings at the Premier Inn.

Room Tip: You just can't go wrong with Premier Inn.

We stayed here with our 7 year old daughter. The room was spotless, including the bathroom, which in some hotels is not always the case. The location is very good, and the staff were lovely, in the hotel and adjacent Brewers Fayre. We paid extra for the breakfast which was of good quality. An excellent choice and very tasty. So good that kids eat free. The value for money couldn't be beaten. Excellent. We have an annual Beamish pass, and love Durham, so looking forward to returning very soon.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn several times, and as usual our experience this time was as good as ever. The rooms are spotless, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water to shower anytime of the day/night, tea/coffee making facilities with reception providing extra tea/coffe/milk/sugar on request. The staff are always most pleasant and happy to help, a credit to Premier Inns. The location of the hotel is perfect for travelling to local and not so local attractions, and the Brewers Fare on-site is reasonable for ease of use, admittedly not the best evening meal we've ever eaten, but a fair price. The breakfast however is superb, with great choice, well cooked and quality ingrediants. We will always check out Premier Inn Durham North for our fairly frequent forays to the North East, and at £19 a night (special offer) for Friday and Sunday, and £29 for Saturday it just cannot be beaten. Now when can we go next?

We have stayed at Durham north Premier Inn several times and have always found the rooms comfortable and clean with frendly staff. The value for money (for two people) is good and the continental breakfast with excellent porridge is good (cost of breakfast is extra). The situation is quiet but a shopping centre with Sansbury's is within 5 minutes walking distance.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a bed for a third person.
