Shaheens food is freshly cooked and very good in terms of flavours, if a little expensive. The menu is very extensive and there is something to please all tastes. The restaurant is in the heart of the city, close to the Cathedral, in an old building - but is very well maintained and pleasantly decorated. The place is a family run establishment and so there is investment of time and courtesy to ensure that people are well looked after. Overall we would place it above average for restaurants of this kind in the north east. Large parties and solo diners are equally welcomed and taken care of.
