My husband needs gluten free food which looked as though it was going to be a problem in Durham until we discovered Tia's. There was about 2 dozen dishes he could have chosen from which is a rarity. For his main course he had blackened caribbean chicken which he said was fab. I had chicken & ribs which were delicious. The desserts looked very appetising but we were so full we couldn't eat another thing. We were in Durham for our wedding anniversary & although the decor isn't flash the place is clean, the food is good & the staff are wonderful. We are hoping to take a trip there again soon. Anyone looking for gluten free food - this is the place to go!

Located near the centre of Durham just opposite the Gala theatre complex. Small cantina style recently refurbished restaurant with friendly staff, lovely food prepared on the premises, alcohol-free cocktails for the kids and an early evening menu which is great value.
The amigo rose (a lightly battered whole onion which opens out into a rose like "flower') is not to be missed.
