“Very Special Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

Turned up 5 hours early on the 16th May 2014 thinking maybe we could just drop our bags off and come back when the room was ready. We should not have worried as not only were the 2 rooms ready for us but we were treated like long lost family by both Jackie and Colin, the rooms were of outstanding quality and a fantastic touch was the hot chocolate drinks as well as bottled water alongside the usual tea and coffee and even those were way above the usual standard. After a fantastic first nights sleep we came down for breakfast and Wow what a breakfast fresh fruit salad, orange juice ,apple juice, cereals and then came the full english breakfast, oh my days everything on the plate was of the finest and locally sourced products (please never change this). I will be going back there as soon as possible as it could not be better placed for the whole Torbay experience. The Blue Waters Lodge is as host Colin would say "ticketyboo"

Room Tip: Looked inside 3 rooms and all looked high quality. I understand that a hair dressing salon is soon t...

Jackie and Colin are excellent hosts - warm, friendly, helpful - providing details of eateries they could personally recommend. Jackie joined us with enjoying an evening take-away delivered to the door as though family! Colin is happy to the Full English Breakfast offered, particularly as we only wanted a lighter breakfast before our departure. The rooms were clean, light and airy. The mattress in Room 1 is good and hard! The beach, promenade and town are 5 minutes away, the harbour about 10-15 minutes away, walking on the level all the way. Returning in 6 weeks for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Room 1 - Double bed hard mattress Room 5 - King size bed comfy mattress

We took a last minute Bank Holiday booking and on arrival were welcomed by Jackie who made us feel so welcome we felt like family after ten minutes. The accomodation was immaculate we could,nt fault it in any way, fresh light and spotless. The breakfast was five star and kept us going all day.The BB is situated in the quiet end off Paignton just 100yds from the front 3 mins away and the main street 5 mins with two or three pubs on the way.We did,nt move the car all weekend every thing you need is down the road. Buses are the best way to get around if you want to leave the town and visit other areas, a day rider just under a fiver gets u on any bus for the day.
Brilliant weekend enhanced by the way our hosts looked after us, we will certainly be going back and recommend our friends to go there. Thank-you

Jackie & Colin are wonderful hosts, we were made to feel so welcome & at home from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable & airy. Food was amazing and the cream tea waiting for us in our room when we arrived was a most welcome surprise - such a lovely touch! Cannot fault Blue Waters Lodge at all & would thoroughly recommend it to anyone - we will definitely be returning! Also lovely to meet the family dog Snoopy, he stole all our hearts!! Jackie & Colin are such a lovely, friendly couple and nothing was too much trouble. I feel like we have not only had a wonderful stay but have made new friends!! We are looking forward to our next visit already!

Jackie and Colin made us so welcome and comfortable that we didn't want to leave Blue Waters Lodge. We were in Paignton for a family Diamond Wedding Celebration for my husband's brother and sister-in-law. When we visit Paignton again we will certainly try to stay there again as the food and ambiance of the place was wonderful.

Room Tip: They are all good rooms.

Had a fantastic first weekend in Paignton. Met Jackie and Snoopy who were both very welcoming. Unbelievably accommodating of us, went way beyond the line of duty to make us feel comfortable and get the most out of our stay. Brilliant location just off the beach front. Very clean and warm, and a breakfast meal which I'm still daydreaming about. Hope to return with Jolene soon!
