We recently visited this beautiful cottage for our annual holiday. It was our first time in Devon and though I expected it to be lovely, I didnt expect to have such a truly wonderful holiday. Helped, of course, due to the glorious sunshine we had all week.
The cottage was so clean and beautiful on arrival and our hosts had kindly left a botte of prosecco and some fresh roses to welcome us. It was a fab touch. This was enjoyed in the secure garden with our cockapoo nearby having a well earned nap.
I would highly recommend this location for anyone wanting to enjoy time relaxing and exploring Devon. Devon stole our hearts and this is in large part to Ruth and George's wonderful cottage. Thank you so much.
The owner was really helpful before our stay and it was lovely to be welcomed with fresh flowers on the table. A great stay, clean and quaint close to the beach and shops.
This is a lovely little cottage - dating back to the 17th century. Nonetheless, it has everything you could want in terms of modern amenities - including an excellent shower and bath and gas cooker and a nice, quiet back garden. The main bedroom is spacious, with a twin bedroom behind. A good size for a couple with a child (as we were). Some of the doorframes are low, but the rooms themselves were fine even for someone of my height (over 6ft). An easy 10-15 minute walk to the beach and station and situated in Paignton's old quarter, which local friends didn't even know existed!
Perfect location for our walking holiday in Devon. So much to see and do. Ideal for access to the coastal path. Excellent restaurants in the area, especially liked East in the West, a brilliant and unusual Indian Restaurant just 2 minutes from the cottage.
