Having read some of the negative reviews we were a bit concerned, but if you consider the hotel as a touring base it was well placed. Yes there was the odd hiccup in the restaurant, but all in all the standards were reasonable both in the room and dining room .we would be happy to go there again.

We arrived at the hotel to find our bedroom window would not closed, it was really cold weather. We were told that the window would be fixed the next day, the reception staff were lovely and tried to help as much as they could. The meal on the first day was lovely and service was good. After that everything went downhill, we got back from our days excursion to find that in our room and approx 10 other rooms near ours the water was not running at all. We waited as they thought it would be fixed that day, but they couldnt fix it so they moved us to a room which overlooked the back yard of the hotel which was dirty and all we could see were lots of bills, and the staff could walk past our window and see in. I was not happy at all. The waitress at the dinner service ignored us for about 20 minutes after we sat down for both breakfast and evening meals, until we complained to her and then she served us, but the following meal she was just the same, service was very slow and the meals were not that good when they did arrive as they were partly cold. The excursions were good though, which partly made up for it, I would not visit again though

Hotel decor is a bit tired but offers fantastic value for money. Good food, great drinks on the all inclusive deal and friendly staff. Service in the dining room is excellent- best I have experienced. We paid extra for sea-view room and this was a good move. We got a reasonably sized clean room with the luxury of a bath. Some of the travellers in our party had rooms which only had showers and no bath. If you want a bath make sure you inform the hotel. Entertainment programme was good. We didn't bother going on the first two evenings and were surprised at how good it was when we went on the third night.

Booked 'all inclusive' with Shearings. Excellent value for meagre cost. Food, service, staff
all great. Entertainment first class. Only drawback was smallish bathrom with shower only. All in all couldn't believe what we got for our money. Don't believe some of the bad comments, some must be never satisfied!

Having read some of the reviews I have to re address the balance. This hotel does not pretend or cost the same as a 5 star hotel but in it's price range it offers excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms are not spacious but are adequate. The food and service is more than adequate and very friendly. The trips very very good and the nightly eneertainment was of a very high quality, in fact better than some cruises I have been on that cost considerably more!!!. Would highly recommend for the 50+ age group. the fact that kids are not catered for in my opinion is a big bonus.
