Reviewed 23 March 2011

My wife and i stayed at the Palace for 3 nights we were there on a coach party, we arrived to a warm welcome and the stay was fantastic, the friendly staff and atmosphere really made it a wonderful stay, the facilities were second to none, food was out of this world and the General Manager Brian greeted us on arriving and bid us farewell on departing, a brilliant hotel deserves a much higher rating that it presently has, will definately be going back, Was most definately spoiled. Thank you Palace Hotel

My Husband and I stayed at The Palace Hotel, for the VALENTINE weekend. It was our first stay, as we had called in there for coffee, just after Christmas, and thought what a SUPER hotel it looked. It certainly lived up to our expectations, ALL the staff were very efficient and friendly, food was well presented and cooked well. The decor is tasteful, and the sun lounge and Singer room are very relaxing. Our `Club Room` was very clean, and furnished well, with delightful sea views. Lovely clean towels and plenty of hot water, at all times. We have already booked for `TWIXMAS` and also our friends are joining us, on our recommendation. I think we will possibly be staying there again BEFORE twixmas! WELL DONE & THANK YOU TO ALL!!!

it was our 4 th stay here, the staff is amazing , anything you need they are there, there is a welcome drink on your arrival ,from the bar staff waitress service maids , i cant fault them in any way.the rooms are well equipt with everyhting you need if you can get a sea view nothing nicer than sitting in bed and watching the sea .the cleanliness of the room was ace each morning there will be clean towels and tea facilities and beds made if you wish. There is so much to do in the area that you need more than a week if you are not local we have been 4 times and still things we have not seen in our long weekends from cinemas, shops, museums, restaurants, castles gardens, but before you visit the abbeys make sure they are open may only be open in the holiday seasons as we found out.if there is one thing i would have liked to have seen and that would be the chef to make an apperience we would have loved to thank personally for the food it was first class whoever he or she is and the kitchen staff a big thankyou .

We stayed here 4 nights and can thoroughly recommend The Palace Hotel to anyone. We were part of a coach party and were warmly welcomed on arrival by Brian the General Manager, who came on the Coach to tell us all about his Hotel and its facilities. We then went in for a welcoming coffee and met the very approachable owner, Steven, who also made us feel most welcome. He also made a point of popping in to his Hotel every day to check on things and again, if he saw us, made sure to have a chat. The food (and choice) was excellent as was the service and very friendly and efficient Staff - obviously Steven and Brian run a happy "ship"! We felt this Hotel deserved at least 4 Stars, the only VERY small criticism was that our room looked a little tired and would benefit from new furniture and decor but it seems that there is an ongoing improvement programme in place so this was NOT really a problem for us, after all it was clean, quiet and comfortable. So, all in all, GREAT! Hope to visit you again soon Steven/Brian

The service from the staff was excellent, first time we have stayed at an hotel where the staff are actually sociable and give you a smile, be it the morning or the evening. Comfortable beds, clean and warm rooms, plenty of hot water and lovely big bath towels, and the food is good too. This hotel is situated in the best position in Paignton well looked after gardens, right opposite the pier and plenty of walking, if you have the energy after your meals. Our first visit to Paignton and the Palace hotel but we will be visiting again we hope.
