Had a great stay. Its central enough to see lots of Devon. We visited Paignton, Torquay, Dartmouth and Totnes. Thinking about going again, we missed Brixham and that also sounds nice. Lots of great places to visit. I would recommend Fishacre.

We have stopped in a number of Travelodges and this is definitely one of the better ones. The rooms are a standard Travelodge clone, but at least you know exactly what you are getting. It was basic, very clean and comfortable in the main. The new beds are certainly an improvement. We were aware of the parking situation as it was clearly stated on the website. I find it hard to see why people complain when it is pointed out PRIOR to booking. Yes some days we couldn’t park, but space is a premium. We found the price to be comparable to other accommodation in the area
We stopped for 4 nights in June when the weather was quite warm. This made the rooms at the back of the building very warm. We found out that fans were available from reception. Staff were polite, cheerful and helpful.
Would we go back again – probably.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are warmed greatly by the sun. It can become uncomfortable at times...

When we arrived there wasn't a staff member to be seen, but that's okay we just patiently waited after pressing the bell. However when the two ladies arrived neither apologised for the wait or greeted us politely. They just asked for my name when I said I had booked a room. We were given the key cards and then there was silence. No comment was made as to how to get to our room, or to wish us an enjoyable stay. Shame really - we were on holiday.
The room was hot when we entered it and the furniture was very basic. No telephone or fan in the room either, so when I got really hot in the night and woke up at 4am my only choice in getting a fan was to get dressed and walk downstairs and ask for one (but I hadn't even been told this on arrival!). Maybe I'm critical because I've only ever stayed in a Premier Inn before, but when comparing the two this one definitely loses out.
I would definitely stick with Premier Inn as opposed to a Travel Lodge - yes they're more money, but far better value.

Our staff are required to provide a warm and friendly welcome to our customers on arrival so it is regrettable to learn this did not happen Tess V. We also require them to ensure they advise our guests of the directions to their room and what is available at the hotel. We do not provide phones in our rooms due to the fact we do not provide a room service however our staff are available at all times at reception. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to the hotel management team so that they can remind their staff the importance of providing a quality service to our guests.

Typical OK Travelodege, clean, excellent bed and room BUT 5GBP charge for parking in their own carpark not identified during booking process and cannot be added to bill or paid by card at machine - phone call to pay added 30p to cost. Not so much the cost but that it is hidden until you get there and then there is no other parking option. Surly unhelpful staff (maybe fed up with parking complaints ?). Stay somewhere else.

We stayed for one night not cheep!!! £90 room looked out in to the next doors garden and a big tree. We arrived and were informed no Parking spaces we were told we could park two streets down.
We were not very happy about this. We did not know Paighton that's why we chose Travel Lodge in the first place,
The visit was a meeting so we decided to park at the meeting place and get a Taxi to and from the Travel Lodge.
+ The Hotel was clean.
Would I recommend you stay -NO -

Nice refurbishment and overall a very pleasant 2 night stay. Spotlessly clean room and facilities. Breakfast very variable Saturday breakfast very poor however Sunday's breakfast was gorgeous. Rather disappointed that we were charged for Parking and parking was limited We had the last space that first evening and so glad as we would have needed to drag our cases and wedding gear to the Travelodge from on road parking some way from the Travelodge

Me and my girlfriend have just come back from this travelodge. And while yes parking is small and it does cost 5 pound for 24 hours. I had no issues with anyone of theses as we parked the car and it didn't move till day we come home. As for are room we had a lovely sea view. Nice comfy bed and clean room couldn't find fault with it. Also the bar is open till 4 am. All in all we would stay again and recommend to others
