“Wonderful day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2012

Great price for all you get, lovely steam train journey from Paignton to Kingswear, travelling along the coast so you can see the sea! Then quick ferry over to Dartmouth where you can enjoy all the pretty town has to offer for a few hours, just enough time for us to have a look at some of its brilliant Gallery's, do a spot of shopping (a jumper & umbrella as the weather had turned!) then a delicious crepe in the lovely Creperie Titia cafe, run by a lovely French couple. We then went on a boat trip up the Dart to Totnes, it was raining & could of been miserable but the staff were jolly & friendly, especially the guy who did a talk the whole way, giving us great information about the river & surrounding areas & cracking jokes about the British weather & such, we arrived in Totnes with enough time for a quick cream tea at the cafe right where you depart the boat, before the bus back to Paignton..very enjoyable day out with two OAP's!!

“Don't miss the train journey but consider alternative boat.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2012

Parked in the long stay carpark just a few minutes walk through a pedestrian square as you exit the car park (walk across the square, turn right and look left to see the railway) not clearly signposted though from carpark.

A great railway with beautiful views of the sea and good wheelchair access at first and last stations. We took the car ferry next to the station to get to Dartmouth. They had no problem with wheelchair users sitting behind the cars. Expect a few bumps and put on a brave face going down the jetty to get on!! I believe there is no wheelchair access on the foot ferry.

A few more seats in the wheelchair access carriage is needed.

“Round Robin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2012

Did the Round Robin and found it a wonderful day and great value for money, lots to see and photograph and the highlight for my little travel group was the Seal that appeared every now and again as if following the boat. Great for most ages as there is so much to look at will definitly do it again, just check the weather before you go as the scenery is stunning and would be a shame if you missed it because of sheltering under an umbrella.
