Stayed for two nights on 30 June and 1 July . Room was excellent, big and spotlessy clean with Premier's wonderful comfy beds. We had problems with noise from the room above on our first night but when we spoke to Amanda on reception she immediatly apologised and gave us a refund for our first nights stay.Had an excellent dinner and first class breakfasts at the Beefeater and wiould not hesitate to recommend both the hotel and restaurant.Surroundings were not brilliant (seems to be in a regeneration area) but location is very convenient for Paignton and surrounding area. When we got home there was a letter apologising again for the problems we had had. Customer sevice at it's best!

Room Tip: choose a top floor room to avoid noise from above

Stayed here for 2 nights having escaped from nearby Travelodge which was unbearable. Stepping into Premier Inn was like arriving in Utopia. Receptionist could not have been more helpful. Room immaculate. Food and service at the Beefeater equally as good. We will definately stay again.

Room Tip: note that the windows dont open as hotel is a/c so no good if you claustrophobic

Stayed here for 3 nights from 04/062012 to 07/06/2012. Even though the weather was awful, cold and wet we were always guaranteed a warm welcome from the reception staff at this hotel. The rooms are of average size and as this hotel is relatively new the decoration, fixtures and fittings are excellent. The room was kept very clean and tidy and the bathroom was always kept spotlessly clean. We took advantage of the "Meal Deal" which gave us a full breakfast and 3 course evening meal plus a drink. The Beef Eater restraunt attached was always very busy but we received excellent service (our thanks to Andy and Agi and the rest of the staff especially Darren who stepped in to cover absent colleagues, a very busy first night at front of house – well done) The food was of a high standard and well presented. Overall an excellent and well looked after stay - thanks all.

We stayed here for one night, the hotel is new so the room was a good size and clean and tidy. Although we faced onto the road we could not hear any traffic noise. The beef eater was very poor, we had breakfast and were told several items of hot food were not available, we didnt order right away and the waitress said she would come back in 5 minutes, she did not and after 25 minutes we eventually got our order taken, but only then because someone had come to clear our plates. We then waited 30 minutes for the food to arrive in this time we witnessed 3 families complain to the staff about the service. Luckily we were not in a rush to leave but if we had been then it would have caused a problem. The hotel is great and we would normally give it 5 out of 5 but the service in the beef eater was so poor that we have to mark the hotel down.

Again, I have been 'forced' to book a Premier Inn hotel because my preferred choice was not available. And again, I have been so impressed with the quality and the service at the hotel, I am very impressed with the chain.

Stayed for a night while visiting my brother. The hotel is new, but the staff are very, very good, very warm, friendly and outgoing. No issue was too small for them to listen to. I traveled with the family, but the family room was a very good size, including a travel cot for my one year old. My daughter loved her bed so much, she actually asked to go to bed !!

We didn't eat at the restaurant for breakfast, because we felt that £8.20 was a little pricey, we had breakfast at the Cafe in the Sainsburys' up the road. In the end, if we had taken into account the fact that kids eat free, the restaurant would have actually cost us the same thing (although I'm guessing we'd have to pay for drinks, so maybe not a fair comparison). We had lunch there though, and it was good.

The only real issue was noise from the room above us, and some silly person who came and banged on our door and ran away. I can't blame the hotel for this though.

We visit Brixham at least once a year, and normally stay in Independent hotels, but as this was Jubilee weekend, most of them were fully booked, so had to stay in Paignton which is just 10 minutes away.

The hotels in the area will need to up their game to compete with Premier Inn.
