Owner description: This organic, working farm on the edge of Paignton is open to the public 7 days a week. You can see farm animals including cows, sheep, chickens, pigs and alpacas, and walk a lovely 2km nature trail with a bird hide. Our Farm Cafe serves local produce and seasonal dishes and there is a kids play area outside. Visit the beautiful kitchen garden with a wartime allotment and air raid shelter. The farm is run by local charity Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust with all profits going to support its conservation and education work. The Trust run a selection of chargeable events throughout the year at Occombe and it's other sites, so please check the website for details of what's going on before you arrive. Free parking!

Visited as saw advertised in holiday brochure. Plenty of free parking and a lovely rural location. Enjoyed tea and cake on the elevated decking area. Farm shop amazing and lots of local tasty treats to tempt you! Nice play area and nature trail for the kids. Very friendly girls in shop and cafe HOWEVER MUST say that the staff in the nearby office for Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust VERY RUDE.. charging around on their mobile phones obviously finding visitors annoying and intrusive??? Don't they rely on the tourists to keep them in a job??!!

Have never been here before, but will certainly come again. My granddaughter loved doing the egg hunt.

We only went into the restaurant on one occasion and found it to be too expensive for what we had, but the coffee was OK, bit noisy in there.

The Farm has animals and lots of nature, especially good for children. The walk has a bird hide and lots of different types of terrain to explore. Afterwards you can have a welcome coffee, ice-cream or cold drink or meal in the (pricey) cafe, The breakfasts are especially good there. Plenty of parking and a farm shop on site makes this a great place to visit.

What a lovely place to visit! As this is a free attraction, we were not expecting too much. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We saw cows, pigs, sheep, aplaccas and chickens! On following the nature trail, we found a bird hide and watched the wild birds and squirrels! The path was well maintained and had information boards en route. We reached the wartime garden and had a look inside the Anderson shelter. We visited the well stocked farm shop which i considered to be very fairly priced. Although i did not eat in the cafe, the food and cakes looked delicious. A fabulous place for a cheap and cheerful afternoon out.
