My husband and I traveled with a Harry Shaw coach trip and stayed at The Hotel Bonair. We requested a sea view room and we were given one. The hotel is charming with plenty of places to relax in. The long conservatory is very comfortable and there is a room with a pool table just off of it. The front garden has plenty of furniture and is wonderful to sit in. The bar area is welcoming and a good size. Overall the hotel looks clean and pleasant.
Our room was not spacious but adequate and we were very pleased with the shower which had instant hot water with a good pressure. We didn't read the hotel guide and didn't realise that towels were not changed during a stay. When I requested more because I thought we had been missed we subsequently received clean towels daily!
The dinning room is run strictly and some people who arrived three minuets late did not receive starters but there are notices stating the meal times. A couple of travelers sat at a wrong table and they were told of their faux pas very quickly and brusquely! We had tea instead of the ordered coffee on one occasion. When we ate a dry roll with our soup on our first evening we thought it was cut backs. After the soup we spotted butter on other tables and mentioned it to our waitress. She was mortified and offered us another roll, even though we had finished the soup. However, these are small insignificant details.
I would recommend this hotel for it's good position to the sea front and town. Also, for it's helpful, friendly staff from the management to the cleaning staff.

Room Tip: The sea view is delightful. However, when we stayed there was a circus on the green in front of the...

Very clean hotel, with good food. In a nice location just up from the pier, with parking spaces. Staff friendly and helpful, would recommend to friends and family. Has a lovely seating area out front so no matter what the weather you can sit in the light and watch the world go past.

we had a room overlooking the sea on the second floor it was clean and fresh and very comfy and there was something going on across the road on the green everyday , even the circus was in town on the green infront off the hotel

Just back from a weeks holiday at the Bonair travelling with Gee-vee. Had a very good time in spite of the weather being a bit iffy. The hotel was very clean and well managed and the meals were good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had entertainment most nights. The hotel is very central, being almost opposite the pier. Would certainly recommend the Bonair to friends and would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms at front of hotel are best.
