We have visited the seashore centre many times over the years. It is a little hidden away & not well advertised, so it is easy to pass it by. It's well worth a visit for lots of fishy facts & information about the geology & sealife of the local area. I don't know if these still go on, but they used to run activity days for kids where they can make crafty sea themed models & stuff & there used to be an activity called "rock pool ramble", where children could go (accompanied by parents) with the coastal rangers & not only find the sea creatures in the rock pools on Goodrington beach, but learn lots of fascinating facts about them from the rangers. Even better that this is all free! In 2009 we visited during the "festival of the sea" & took part in loads of fun stuff - including snorkelling for my daughter, making crafts, helping to make a raft & launch it into the sea & taking part in the lantern procession down the beach that evening, to send wishes to the sea! Magical stuff!
