We found this hotel on the internet and booked in for our short honeymoon break. Our room (28) was a good size with a balcony and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and so was the optional evening meal. The staff were very friendly and we were made to feel extremely welcome. It is ideally situated a short distance from the town centre and beach and in a nice quiet area to escape the late night revellers.

The rooms were very clean and staff were very friendly. Good choice for breakfast and was of high standard. The hotel is also only a short walk from the beach or into the town centre and there is plenty of parking.

I found this hotel on the internet and the positive reviews made it an easy decision to book with them. The reviews were spot on. From the minute I made contact I was happy with my decision. The web pictures were excellent and showed that it was close to the sea and it was a lovely walk into town whichever way we went. Everything was very clean and we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. There were informative leaflets on places to visit and things to do. Debbie, Peter and all the staff made us very welcome, the food was wonderful - easy to over induldge. A perfect location to travel to other villages, such a beautiful part of Egland. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would be very happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: We did not have a room with a view but it was clean and very comfortable for our needs.

What a wonderful hotel. Arrived by motorbike on a Friday and was shown to a large sumptuous room, extremely clean and the most comfortable bed ever! Staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend to any bikers out there or anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay that is near enough to lively Paignton centre. We will definitely make a return trip.

Just returned from a weekend break at the Summerhill Hotel and wanted to say a big thanks and recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone out there.
We only stayed for 3 nights but wish it could have been longer.
From the moment you arrive to a friendly welcome, until the moment you leave, all the staff at Summerhill are so friendly and cant do enough to make your stay a pleasurable one.
The Hotel is very central to everything in Paignton, just a short walk from the Beach, The Town Centre, The Steam Railway etc.
The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean with all the comforts you might need.
Breakfast sets you up nicely for the day with all food fresh, well cooked , tasty , and hot.
Evening meals are also very good, with something on the menu for everyones taste.
For any sweet lovers out there, I can highly recommend ( as another reviewer already has)the Toffee Pavlova , definitely not for anyone on a diet, but an amazing dessert full of clotted cream, ice cream ,homemade meringue, very very naughty but oh so nice !!
I would recommend the Summerhill Hotel to anyone looking to stay in Paignton.
We will definitely be returning ,and will recommend The Summerhill to anyone travelling to Devon .

Thank you to everyone at Summerhill for a wonderful stay ,and for looking after us so well.
