“***** Welcoming and friendly B&B *****”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

We have had a lovely stay at Alex and Maria's B&B. Upon arrival we were welcomed and our bags were carried to our room. We were shown a quick tour and was provided a very needed cup of tea after the travel down to this picturesque town in Torbay. The room was well kept, clean and the bed was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had time to chat (this is out-of-season, possibly have less time to chat in the holiday period). The hotel is, like others have pointed out close to the town centre and beach/promenade. We were reliably informed that the bus service is excellent if you wished to go further afield, such as Torquay and Brixham as well as the rail connections (our method of travel). We could really not find fault, a superb guest house which is real value for money.

A very friendly welcome on our arrival,Everything explained. Owners very attentive but not intrusive. Bedroom and furnishings immaculate and the view from our room (8) across the bay very impressive. Binoculars in the room a nice touch. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the choice had to be seen to be believed. Given the lack of parking generally in the Torbay area the car park was much appreciated. No noise heard at all at nigt even with windows open.
Will certainly be visiting again 4 star accommodation and food at 3 star prices. A real bargain!!

Room Tip: Room 8 has magnificent views across the bay to Torquay

A very big thank you to Alex and Maria for accommodating us all at the weekend. A very friendly welcome and spending the time with us all. Very homely, immaculate, lovely big rooms. Breakfast was fabulous (nice to get proper sausages). Hotel is ideally situated to the beach, town and cycle routes too. Nice to be able to come back to Hotel and relax in the bar and lounge too. Will be back. Thanks for treating us motorcyclists as humans.

Room Tip: Room 8 had great views across the bay

We had room 2 which is spacious and comfortable, with its own ensuite. What makes this accommodation so good are the couple who run it. Very friendly and helpful. Also do an exceptional cooked brekkie.

My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable visit at The Two Beaches Hotel. It is a wonderful B&B to stay in. The breakfast's are of a very high quality with plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. Alex and Maria are a very nice couple and make you feel very welcome and nothing is to much trouble for them. We had room 8 which gives you lovely sea views over the bay and is spacious and comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces of road. Highly recommend and we would stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 8 has a sea view.

I have been working really hard this year so my daughter suggested I get away for a few days - I chose Two Beaches and from start to finish it was a great break! I was alone but made to feel at ease.

Maria and Alex are truly lovely and the breakfast is "to die for" - very friendly, nice place to stay and within walking distance of anything worth seeing. I didn't use my car for the four days I was away (hop on buses and steam trains take you were you want to go).

Very relaxing and lovely time - thanks so much and I WILL see you again!
