had a very nice welcome, and was given a large room on the ground floor....bed was huge and very comfortable, room was spotless, I couldn't fault it .....

Breakfast was very good....and owners were a really nice couple,

Paignton was not for us, but if I ever had to go back, this is where I would stay....as long as the owners stay the same, book with confidence :-))))

Room Tip: we were on the ground floor and thought it was going to be noisy....but didn't hear a thing!

What can I say, this B&B has to be seen to be believed. It was without doubt the best I have ever stayed in. On arrival we were greeted by one of the owners Alex who showed us around and then carried our bags to our room. The room itself was lovely, a large bed which was beautifully made up, two very comfortable chairs and a huge wardrobe complete with more than enough hangers. It was immaculately clean, so much so that it was almost like a show room....I have never seen such a clean bathroom. It's the silly small things that make such a difference - for example the pull chord on the light being white and not grimy from previous dirty hands. It was sparkling and everything provided with so much thought put into it. The towels were so pristinely white, soft and fluffy. The shower was wonderfully powerful and a struggle to drag yourself out of!
Everything was thought of, there was an alarm clock, and the traditional refreshments tray in the room consisted of not only the normal tea and coffee (along with decaf) but also green tea, peppermint tea, red bush tea, cookies and milk.
After a fantastic nights sleep we were treated to breakfast. Seated in a pleasant area looking out onto the garden we were able to choose our breakfast from a menu on the table. A fantastic choice of toast, full English breakfast, omelette and choice of fillings, even smoked haddock and poached egg. We opted for full English (I have added a picture) and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. Whist waiting for your choice you are then given the option to help yourself to various cereals, fruit and yoghurt. We opted for coffee which was brought to us in a cafetiere and was, as a coffee lover, perfect. Again, it was the little touches that made it.......the white and brown rough cut sugar cubes in small kilner jars on the table, the different variety of jams/honey/marmalade on lovely little stands on each table. The fruit juices decanted into glass kilner bottles.......I could go on.
On leaving we spoke briefly with both Alex and Maria the owners, both of whom are so welcoming. So much so that they showed us around the rest of the rooms in case we were thinking of ever coming back with our children. The other rooms were just as great as the one we had stayed in (room number 1) and I can honestly say we would absolutely return if we are in the area, and would even go so far as to say that we would plan another trip around staying at two beaches. Fab fab fab, thank you Alex and Maria you made our stay perfect.

Spotless, welcoming and friendly and a short walk from the beach. Couldn't ask for anything more from a B&B. Rooms are of a high standard, towels and bedding of good quality, powerful shower and the bed was comfortable. Owners were lovely and couldn't do more for us. The breakfast was outstanding, lots of choice, perfectly cooked and defiantly hit the spot!! We will be booking again when next in the area!!

This is what all B&B's should aspire to.
Location, very quiet, but a few minutes walk to the seafront.
Good parking.
Nice welcome. We arrived early well before check-in time and this was no issue.
High quality, well furnished room, with a very comfortable bed
Lovely towels and a good quality shower.
Superb quality breakfast, with local ingredients.
Experience cannot be faulted, highly recommended.

Immaculate, clean, warm, friendly, welcoming and a great breakfast. Luxurious bedding and towels to boot and only a five minute walk to town centre.

If I have to work in Torbay again, I shall return.

I would also like to add that I would take my wife to the Two Beaches if I were ever to go to Torbay on a holiday and unfortunately in the UK, there are very few B+B's where I would do this, (and I have stayed at more than I care to mention).

Well done guys.

We have had a lovely stay at Alex and Maria's B&B. Upon arrival we were welcomed and our bags were carried to our room. We were shown a quick tour and was provided a very needed cup of tea after the travel down to this picturesque town in Torbay. The room was well kept, clean and the bed was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had time to chat (this is out-of-season, possibly have less time to chat in the holiday period). The hotel is, like others have pointed out close to the town centre and beach/promenade. We were reliably informed that the bus service is excellent if you wished to go further afield, such as Torquay and Brixham as well as the rail connections (our method of travel). We could really not find fault, a superb guest house which is real value for money.

A very friendly welcome on our arrival,Everything explained. Owners very attentive but not intrusive. Bedroom and furnishings immaculate and the view from our room (8) across the bay very impressive. Binoculars in the room a nice touch. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the choice had to be seen to be believed. Given the lack of parking generally in the Torbay area the car park was much appreciated. No noise heard at all at nigt even with windows open.
Will certainly be visiting again 4 star accommodation and food at 3 star prices. A real bargain!!

Room Tip: Room 8 has magnificent views across the bay to Torquay
