“Definitely going back”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014

We had our first visit here in August and were very impressed. The hotel is gorgeous, really luxurious warm feel. The staff were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly at all times. We had dinner on our arrival night and the food was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent and the quality of the food and the presentation was very good. We stayed in the new wing and the room was fabulous. Loads of room with a massive bathroom with separate shower and bath. Cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: We choose an executive double in the new wing and the room was fab

As a regular to the culloden it's great to know this hotel always delivers top quality service.
We stayed in the new wing of hotel, rooms are beautiful and the cleansing of the room was top notch.
The power shower is amazing,I stayed one night and had 4 showers.
Thanks to Peter in the Restaurant who is a man on top of his game and always has time to chat with the guests whilst running a busy ship
Thanks again culloden and I look forward to next time.

We have just returned from a very special 30th wedding anniversary breakfast with family. We had ou weddingr reception at the culloden hotel all those years ago. The staff were amazing and the table was beautifully set. The food was delicious and everyone had a lovely time. If you are looking for that something special we can't recommend the culloden enough. Looking forward to a lovely weekend there in September.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Culloden (family of 4 with 2 small children). The rooms were quiet and the beds quite comfortable. The kids loved the swimming pool and they had a great gym.

However, housekeeping service not very good. The bathrooms are not in great shape and have a lot of grime and mildew in the grout. Housekeeping did not replace towels which were left on the floor (in fact, they just left them on the floor). They did not remember our bedding preferences, causing us to repeatedly call to have it changed, and did not pick up trash. If I could rate housekeeping alone, I would give it 2 stars.

We dined twice at the nearby Cultra Inn. One experience was terrible due to an uninterested Waiter who couldn't be bothered to bring me a cocktail menu or wine list, much less smile. The second experience better - with a far more pleasant waitress.
We dined once at Metre in the main hotel - and had an excellent meal with a skillful and pleasant server.

Following surgery, my mhusband treated me to 2 nights rest and relaxation. On arrival, we were surprised to find that we had been given a suite. Lovely. It was very comfortable. We had lunch in the Crozier Lounge- soup of the day was great- mushroom and leek.
Drinks were then taken in bar - service was good.
That evening we dined in the Cultra Inn. Cocktail menu was supplied promptly, encouraging us to sample.
Food was brilliant.
Next morning, we had our full breakfast. Again, we could find no faults. A great variety to suit all tastes. Staff were very attentive.
Due to a family bereavement, we had to cut our stay short. Staff were very obliging with our sudden departure and have credited us with another overnight stay and our afternoon tea that we had also booked.
We were not expecting to get this but it has been greatly appreciated. Mr Mc Ginn was very understanding with our situation and assisted us in all we required.
We cant wait until we can have our next break at the Culloden.

The Palatial surroundings, incredible staff and fine antiques are the unique features of Culloden. I totally loved this place and will definitely recommend it to all those who can afford the stay. Well, the splendour comes with a high price, of course.
