Really enjoyed our stay here. Very relaxed atmosphere, given that the property is part of a working farm. We reveived a warm welcome, the room was sensational (named Cream Suite) spread over two floors with separate & bright living room area, bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was truly amazing - we ate at Chez Roux in Gullane the night before which was fantastic, and the breakfasts we were served at the Overmains farmhouse were easily 5-star hotel calibre. I'm not sure if they do evening meals, but when we go back I'll find out, for sure.

My wife and I were in the area for a golf trip and needed somewhere to stay before the drive home. Once again the reviews on TripAdvisor came up trumps and we booked the Overhailes Farm B&B.

From the moment we arrived we knew we'd chosen the right place. The farm is in a secluded location and thus wonderfully quiet. It is a working farm (arable) but the odd tractor rumbling by now and again is nothing to worry about. We were given a very warm welcome and shown to our room which was huge and well appointed. A comfortable double bed, flat screen tv, walk-in dressing room and enormous bathroom with separate bath and shower.

We enjoyed a very good night's sleep which was followed by a magnificent breakfast. I love haggis and it's always a plus sign when it's on the breakfast menu! Our hostess, Caroline, even made us a plate of drop scones - sadly we couldn't manage too many of them!

Overhailes Farm B&B is a comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated establishment. It was perfect for our one night stay but would equally make a great base for a longer stay if you're touring the region.

We came to East lothian for a wedding and were recomended this place by some local residents, they knew what they were talking about! The rooms were enormous, comfortable and well furnished. We had so much cupboard space, we didn't know what to do with it. There were individual sized bottles of Evian on your bedside table, tea and coffee facilities and more biscuits and shortbread than you needed. The owner Claire was genuinely pleased to see us and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was well cooked, juice plentiful and a wide variety of cereal to choose from. Irons and ironing boards also appeared magically at your door before you asked for them!!

In short this place does bed and Breakfsat brilliantly. Highly recomended and great value.

This was the best Bed and Breaksfast I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hundreds. Our flight was delayed and landed into Edinburgh at 2am and the owner volunteered to drive half an hour to the airport to collect us so we didnt have to wait and pay for a taxi. Our room was enormous with a luxury walk in power shower. The bed was huge and as comfortable as beds come. Breakfast was outstanding and custom-made to your preference from a tick list you sign the night before with delicious extras such as home-made drop scones with maple syrup and also haggis. The daily newspaper will await you. The variety of juices, jams and extras is hugely impressive. The landlords are incrediably friendly and will let you use the amenities in their house such as their power-iron. The location is simply stunning and highly reccommended if you are attending a function at LennoxLove House. Better than any 5 star hotel I have stayed in. A must, even if you are not planning to visit that area!

This was quite frankly excellent - we hit it as an overnight stop between Aberdeen & North Yorkshire. We were shown to the " Master" or " Peach " bedroom, with lovely views across the valley to the ruins of Hailes Castle. Spacious room, bathroom & walk-in closet, all tastefully decorated & comfortably furnished, & lo! 2 well-positioned bedside lights ideal for extended reading. Interesting chats with mine host & in the morning with Caroline, who could not take too much trouble with our breakfast in the airy dining -room. Delicious un-ordered drop scones made their way to us from the Aga & were irresistible. As was the tranquillity. All in all our stay could not have been more agreeable 6 we recommend this address unreservedly.
