Whether you are visiting for morning coffee, lunch or that afternoon cream scone and tea, this is the place to stop by. Lovely views, lovely cakes and scones and nice lunches too. Excellent home made soup! Cafe is right above the gallery in a beautiful quiet little corner of historic Haddinton. Don't miss it.

“Lovely soup”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2013

Not exactly spacious and the seating is slightly more old canteen rather than comfy cafe - however - really tasty menu and wonderful service. The soup was delicious and you won't be able to resist something from their freshly baked sweet counter - yum.

“I could live there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2013

I lunch here with a girl friend almost once a week. We have baked potatoes with coleslaw or their delicious soups + a cappuccino and a slice of home made cake while looking out over at the swans gliding down the river. Friendly, restful and cosy. I could stay here all day.

“Excellent location and great home-baking”

If you can't be tempted by the art on offer you will be tempted by the fresh baked cakes and freshly brewed coffee in the coffee shop. There are lovely views over the old bowling green and Nungate Bridge. This is an ideal spot to stop on a Tyne River walk.

“Peter Potter Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2012 via mobile

I have to deliberately stay away from this wonderful treat of a coffee shop otherwise I would be setting up home there. It's always full so finding a quiet spot is unlikely but the food is just delicious and varied and the service very good, albeit staff are a bit frazzled, but still well mannered and very helpful. By a stretch the best coffee shop in town
