This hidden gem makes everything from scratch and has the best lunches and tea. It's located right by the river and St. Mary's Church.
We highly recommend.

Whether you are visiting for morning coffee, lunch or that afternoon cream scone and tea, this is the place to stop by. Lovely views, lovely cakes and scones and nice lunches too. Excellent home made soup! Cafe is right above the gallery in a beautiful quiet little corner of historic Haddinton. Don't miss it.

Not exactly spacious and the seating is slightly more old canteen rather than comfy cafe - however - really tasty menu and wonderful service. The soup was delicious and you won't be able to resist something from their freshly baked sweet counter - yum.

I lunch here with a girl friend almost once a week. We have baked potatoes with coleslaw or their delicious soups + a cappuccino and a slice of home made cake while looking out over at the swans gliding down the river. Friendly, restful and cosy. I could stay here all day.

If you can't be tempted by the art on offer you will be tempted by the fresh baked cakes and freshly brewed coffee in the coffee shop. There are lovely views over the old bowling green and Nungate Bridge. This is an ideal spot to stop on a Tyne River walk.
