Highly recommended, stayed at this location twice now and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area. Setting is superb and offers fantastic views of the town, coastal area and surrounding hills/fields. It also offers a whole host of nature from the livestock of the farm (cows, sheep and horses) to roaming wild deer, rabbits and a large variety of birds. The hosts and everyone who works on the farm are very friendly and make you feel most welcome throughout your stay. The accommodation offered me all the amenities required for my stay and the facilities were simple yet functional and very fitting for the chalet. The large decking area around the chalet was excellent to sit out on during the sunny Scottish weather and perfect for the sunset views over Dunbar. Easily accessible by car, with supermarket etc. just 5 minutes away. Good internet and phone signal received in all areas around the chalet. Again, couldn’t recommend this accommodation more (along with every that goes with it).
I booked the Golden Oak Chalet due to its proximity to Edinburgh and the promise of a peaceful location and was certainly not disappointed.
The chalet itself is very cosy with spectacular views. Lovely little touches such as fresh flowers in the chalet on arrival really make you feel welcome and Kaye is an absolute delight to meet.
We had several meals and glasses of wine on the decking watching beautiful sunsets.
There is lots to do in the local area so the chalet is perfectly placed. Walkers are spoiled for choice and families will love the beaches and being able to see the farm animals.
All in all this a great chalet with wonderful owners and we cannot wait to visit again. A huge thank you from us!
