A great place to be with many attractions close by for children, links park, fantastic sports centre with wave pool, great beach and marvellous harbour and historic attractions. The hotel itself was clean, tidy, staff friendly and Tommy was just great. What a fantastic guy to meet. Breakfast and Restaurant food was excellent and good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the region. Great for Edinburgh as railway station 3 minutes walk away. We all look forward to visiting again

We stayed over the bank holiday for three nights. Tommy was great. He made sure we had everything we needed. The room had a superb view of the sea and was clean and warm. The en-suite was recently refurbished and was nicely done. Breakfast is a traditional full Scottish and there is plenty of it served in the smart period dining room. The hotel's refurbishment is obviously an ongoing project but most of the areas are now done so the odd bit still to do didn't have any adverse effect on our stay. The hotel is well located at the end of the high street and very close to the station. I'd happily stay here again.

My room was freezing from checking in, the bathroom hadnt been cleaned properly and the room hadnt been dusted in a while. The bed was clean which was a good start! The staff were rude and treated everything as an inconvenience. The mirror in the bedroom was laid on the floor (previously fell of the wall). Not a nice hotel! Would not recommend and would not stay again. Not to mention ordering eggs and they were not cooked and asking for wholemeal toast and being brought white with "we dont get any more wholemeal bread until later today". No use to me.

Room Tip: dont stay here!

We recently ate here to celebrate a family engagement. We ordered drinks in the bar on arrival & were quickly shown thro to dining room. We were only people there & all other tables were unset, chairs stacked in a corner! Very bare & uninviting! There is a bizarre corner 'bar' but again it is bare. Very soulless environment. It was also quite cold! Can't fault the food everyone commented on how delicious theirs was. Cobwebs were spotted just about us at one end of the table. I didn't visit the toilets but several comments about them being in dire need of attention! I'd give food 9/10, staff 10/10, dining room 2/10. Won't be back!

I stayed here for four weeks due to training in Dunbar and the hotel was the silver lining in a crap trip away from home for so long. The bar staff were amazing putting up with such a big group friendly, polite and always willing to do anything they could to make our stay great. I felt that although i missed home for the month that they always loved having us there and it felt like a second home. The rooms are great and very modern. could do with a few more upgrades in other areas but there being done gradually. The food was superb when the main chef was in. I think i had nearly everything on the menu over the month and not one night when he cooked was i left disappointed or was there a scrap of food left. They even provided us with packed lunched if we were going to miss breakfast. I will always remember my stay there and hope to return with the other half so he can enjoy the great experience i had.

Room Tip: Make sure you book in advance for mondays the rotary club take most of the space

Wonderful location. Stunning views. Room modern and immaculate. Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Cosy bar. Excellent food and service in restaurant. A little gem.
We were walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were very accommodating and helped with our onward travels. This is our first trip to Sotland and the tips were invaluable. The manager even gave us his own map book !!!
Hotel is still a work in progress , but this does not detract .
Would highly recommend

Room Tip: Get a room with an ocean view
