We stayed at the mountain park on the 17th and 18th of October we were combining vising family with a weekend away. We decided to upgrade our rooms. the televisions did not work for the 3 days. The heating could not be turned off. the controls fell off the shower. the dispoible beakers in the bathroom were rinsed out and re-used.

after complaining at reception on the first night nothing was done to resolve the situation throughout our stay and we were told it was beyond their control and that there was not-one on duty that could help us. We think the name should be changed from Mountain Park to Fawlty Toweres.

I arrived at the hotel with my girlfriend, the staff where friendly and helpfully from the second we entered, the booking in was hassle free, everything was done at a pace to suit ourselves, the room was clean tidy and well laid out. We had a meal in the restaurant, the food was excellent, the staff where polite, kind and efficient, after the meal we entered the bar for a drink, the bar manager was helpful courteous, and a very good humored person.
I will go again and would recommend it highly, I have stayed in a lot of hotels 4* 5* this 3* star establishment is preferable to many of the other higher rated places I have staid at, well done everyone

I stayed in the family room with my Mum and 3 children and it was lovely.
I have 6 month old twin girls and a 3 year old son and the staff could not do enough for us.
We had a take away from the thai restaurant (on site) brought to our room and was a very reasonable price too.
The room was lovely and spacious even with the 2 travel cots at the foot of each bed (which the hotel provided) saved loads of room in the car.
Very handy for the zoo and had a great time.
Even has Sky HD in the rooms. Fab.

this hotel is an absolute shambles. they made HUGE mistakes with room allocation, on bookings mad nearly 7 months prior to the stay. two of my four rooms were double booked by the staff and given away to someone else after i had booked them. the staff were rude and did not help at all with my and my families complaint, on the phone or face to face. the manager walked away from us twice whilst we were explaining our problems. The same thing had happened the night before to a disabled customer who had specifically chosen a room for ease of use with a wheelchair and their room was also given to some one else, also 'at no fault of their staff'. breakfast was also a mess, no organisation and terrible and rude staff. they just did not want to help at all. the rooms were small and a room for four people consisted of 3 beds and a mattress plonked on the floor! shocking. myself and my family, who were here for a wedding by which all the commotion could have upset the bride, who was also staying here, would reccommend that you avoid this hotel with all your might, it was an absolute nightmare from the moment the booking was made in january 2010 and we all could not wait to get out of there.

Spent 2 nights there, first night was acceptable room OK but a little tired and breakfast was good.On the second night a 21st birthday party was held in the function room in the courtyard where the rooms are situated(was not informed of this when booking) the loud music prevented any sleep and at 12 oclock when the party ended a large number of youths then proceded to shout and then fight in the courtyard. This lasted for 30 minutes until the police finally arrived, the following day there was no member of management on duty and therefore no apology, simply unacceptable. Was told that the following day a wedding reception was booked so we fortunatley avoided this.
