Stayed here for our anniversary as we found a good deal and we found the place was very good value for money. We are vegan and they couldn’t have done more to cater to our needs. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. Set in a beautiful location, pretty much on the beach. Very dog and child friendly. Next time we’ll bring our dog because she would have loved it. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.

Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights on a winter break - 2 nights B and B plus dinner on first night and free ferry travel ! Too good to be true? It was lovely .
We upgraded to a sea view room which was large and had 3 large windows overlooking the grounds and gardens down to the sea . On arrival the receptionist gave us a tour of the hotel - there are sea views from large conservatory area where breakfast and dinner are taken and a good bar . Also pool and jacuzzi outside for warmer weather or you can use indoor pool in sister hotel neit door
The meals were superb. Beautifully presented and served by bubbly Charlotte and Kris. All staff very friendly
We will return!

This Hotel has lots of character, room was very comfortable and warm complete with ironing board/hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Hospitality tray included Hot Chocolate which was a nice touch.Weather wasn't too kind to us but the facilities made up for that with the swimming pool, games room and sauna. Food was delicious with a great choice for breakfast and evening meals. Staff very friendly and helpful, going out of there way to accommodate all our needs. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: Seaview room for the view also no pets allowed

Had a two night stay here. We found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean, nice quality towels and bed linen. The food was ok though a bit on the plain side for me, but presume the hotel caters for what their clientele want as people were enthusing over their meals. Good there is a good selection on the breakfast menu, would comment nice to have greasy fruit but would be nice if you didn’t have to trim off the peel etc before eating as all fruit just cut into segments with peel intact.
Only down side was as we booked as part of a package including the ferry, I hadn’t realised this is a dog friendly establishment which is great for dog owners but not for people without dogs as we had to be moved to a different room due to someone’s dog yapping in a neighbouring room. Fortunately the lovely receptionist found us a quiet room elsewhere so problem sorted, thank you. Plenty of clean poo bags and biscuits for the dogs as you enter the building.
For our second evening we walked a short distance and found pubs and a really lovely Italian restaurant lovely waiter there even entertaining us with magic tricks and fantastic food.

Thank you for your review and comments, it is most appreciated. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the food at Luccombe Manor, as you stated, other guests were enthusing over it, so it is clearly down to personal taste. I appreciate the comments regarding our dogs facilities and I am glad to hear we were able to offer you an alternative room away from dogs.

Thank you again for your review and I hope you may consider us or our sister hotel Luccombe Hall (not dog friendly) if you visit the Island again.

The hotel is in a lovely position & we enjoyed walks from the hotel without getting the car out. Hotel is warm, comfortable & cosy. The staff are very welcoming & helpful & obviously like dogs as everyone made a big fuss of buddy. There are treats at reception, a sausage for breakfast, dog drying towels & spare poo bags too .
Food was delicious & plentiful.
There is direct access to the beach, down many steps so if you are able bodied it's perfect. In the gardens there is a quirky tea room run by a lovely girl & her Alaskan Malamute , hot chocolate was delicious after a long walk.
We hope to return & I would definitely recommend Luccombe Manor.
