“first and not last”
Reviewed 30 October 2011

It was our first stay at ROSEMARY and we had read all the review's on TRIPADVISOR. It did not prepare us for the 1st class service we recieved. Within 10 minutes of arriving we felt like family. Marilyn and Alan are so warm and genuinely friendly. Tea and cake's to welcome you on your arrival. Fruit and bottled water in your room, a fridge to keep your fresh milk cool for drink's in your room, and not to forget Alan's LEMON DRIZZEL CAKE left in your room for your return. The bedroom was lovely with all you needed for your stay. A 5 star shower room with all your requirement's. And last but not least a breakfast of high quality to set you up for the day.It was our first visit to ROSEMARY, it wont be our last. Thank you Marilyn and Alan you made our stay a real pleasure and WE WILL BE BACK. Frank and Julie

This was our second stay at Rosemary and it was just as brilliant as last time. Alan and Marilyn are exceptional hosts and made our stay a perfect short break. Everything in the room is of exceptional quality, from the comfortableness of the bed to the homemade cake left in your room as a special treat when you get back from a day out. Alan's breakfasts are delicious and we would recommend Rosemary to anyone. Thank you Alan and Marilyn!

We have just returned from a short and enjoyable break on IOW. Our stay at Rosemary B&B was very comfortable and, on arrival, we received a warm welcome from Marilyn and Alan. A great deal of attention is given to detail with the personal touch very much in evidence - something you don’t always get in a hotel. The bedroom was spacious and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is outstanding in terms of both quality and the range and choice of food available. I would particularly recommend the Full English Breakfast! We hope to return very soon.

Our stay at Rosemary was every bit as memorable this year as last year. Alan and Marilyn again made us most welcome, and their standards are as high as ever. We still feel that Rosemary offers the best Bed and Breakfast accommodation we have ever encountered, and no one who stays there is likely to be other than delighted. The award for the breakfasts Alan and Marilyn have received is certainly justified - they are quite delicious. We shall certainly go again within the next year.

We have just returned from our first visit to the Isle of Wight and we were not disappointed. It was made particularly memorable because of the wonderful welcome we received from Marilyn and Alan at the Rosemary Bed and Breakfast.

We spent a long time searching the Internet for a special place to stay and we have to agree on occasions we do get it wrong, but not this time! Marilyn and Alan go to great lengths to make sure that every comfort is provided during your stay and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have not stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before where so much thought has gone into all the little but important things that you may miss when you are away on holiday.

The room was lovely and provided everything that we needed for our stay, it was like "home from home". There was plenty to choose from for breakfast which was delicious and well presented. The home made cake on arrival was also delicious!

We have lots more to see on the Isle of Wight so will definitely be returning. Where will we stay? With Marilyn and Alan at the Rosemary Bed and Breakfast of course!

We were looking for a break in the Uk and decided to stay at Rosemary B&B. Marilyn and Alan were the perfect hosts and we had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculate with lots of extras you would not get in a large hotel. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom, sewing kit, fresh fruit in the room and a breakfast fit for a king which set us up for the day.

We had a lot of laughs with Marilyn and Alan and we would not hesitate to go back and visit them once more.

If you've never considered staying in a B&B, then do try Rosemary. You won't be disappointed.

Loraine and Stewart Ross

Room Tip: Bedrooms are at the back and therefore very quiet ensuring a good night's sleep.

My daughter and I have just returned from a short break, staying at the Rosemary B&B and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for the wow factor, then I would highly recommend staying here.
Marilyn and Alan have a beautiful home and are the perfect hosts. They clearly work extremely hard to ensure that their guests want for nothing, during their stay. Our room was absolutely immaculate, as was the whole house and Rosemary and Alan's breakfast was superb in both choice and quality, setting us up for the whole day!
Excellent location, close to the Old Village of Shanklin, was an added bonus.
Rosemary B&B is definately worthy of it's number 1 ranking and we would not consider staying anywhere else!

Marilyn & Alan: Thank you so much for your hospitality and welcome. We had a great time!
