Booked five day coach holiday, this was third time we had been to this hotel. We were booked into a lovely refurbished room and were pleasantly surprised, the hotel is being refurbished and will be really good when completed. Coach journey very good, only one stop besides the ferry brilliant driver. Meals excellent and rooms cleaned every day. Would recommend Daishs for coach trips also self drive as we have done both.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room

Stayed here on a Monday to Friday 2-6th June inclusive. Firstly the coach that we got on at our pick up was the coach we stayed on until arriving at the hotel which in my opinion is a big plus point as no lengthy waits at Interchanges were involved. The driver was very informative throughout the journey and very punctual too.

Daish's Hotel Shanklin is very well situated in the Old Village surrounded by pretty thatched cottage style establishments from tea rooms ice cream parlours and pubs that also offer nightly entertainment if you fancy a change from what the hotel has to offer.

The room was of a good basic standard, with a generous supply of tea, coffee and milk, clean towels and beds were freshly made by the time we got back fro m breakfast. we stayed in a nice room, No. 27 which overlooked the garden. The only downside was the lift was right outside our door and any late night revellers from the bar would sometimes disturb our sleep but this only happened on a couple of nights.

Meals were set times 8.30am Breakfast and 6.30pm Dinner. There were three choices on average and a veggie option. The food we found to be of excellent standard and choice too.

We found that all of the staff Gordon in the bar, the receptionists and waiting staff were both very professional and had that ' nothing is too much trouble ' attitude ' too. If you have a travel pass dont forget to bring it with you as you can use on public transport buses on the island. If you dont have a pass consider buying a Rover which I did for £15.00 - 48 hours unlimited travel which works out much cheaper than buying individual tickets. If there are a group of you then it will be even better as a group ticket can be purchased.

Beautifull cliff top costal walks and with so much to see and do we will definately return and also stay with Daish in Shanklin too.

Room Tip: overlooking the garden, again would be my choice but not directly opposite the lift door.
