My husband and I have stayed at . St Georges on several occasions over the last ten years. We enjoy the friendliness of
Mick and his welcome each time we return. He is always very accommodating when we call to arrange a booking which includes our ferry from the mainland.
The hotel is in an excellent location close to all amenities but at the same time in a peaceful environment. In common with other reviews, we can highly recommend the hearty breakfast. We look forward to returning to St Georges later in the year.

We have only stayed one night and had a warm welcome by the owner. The hotel is in an old Victorian building and very nicely decorated. The room was spacious, had a nice bath and it included thee/coffee/bottled water. Good breakfast buffet and full english on order. It is situated on walking distance of both the beach and the old picturesque centre of Shanklin. Easy accessible with public transport. A must go!

As always, thank you for your kind review.
We are certainly blessed with our location; centred in a triangle between the Beach, Shanklin Town and Shanklin Old Village, with all just a few minutes walk away.
We always endeavour to extend the warmest of welcomes to all our customers and hope to be able to welcome you back again soon.

Vey nice. We enjoyed our stayed. Mike made it very welcoming for us specially with the lovely breakfast in the mornings. Very good location, rooms are good, shower power is great. Only downside is the shower tray, which could be bigger. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Thank you for your review. It's always nice to read peoples feedback, especially when it is so encouraging. Unfortunately the character of a Victorian building means some limitations, like only being able to fit standard sized shower trays. However, for this reason we do offer the choice and use of a separate shower room for those seeking a little more space.
Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back.

Stayed here while working on the island. Room was good and clean, excellent shower in en suite. Good facilities in the hotel and the town centre is very close. Very friendly owner and he makes an excellent cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked one night in this hotel as a special treat for my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed! Well located in a quiet side road , just a couple of minutes walk and we were in the main high street of Shanklin. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and we had excellent beverage facilities available to us in our room. The decor is a little old -fashioned but in keeping with the building and our host Mick reminded us of what real customer care and service mean - even though he had fallen prey to a nasty cold! The breakfast was hearty and well cooked and again Mick was on hand to supply whatever was needed - we were made to feel very welcome. We both really enjoyed our stay - a well run. clean welcoming little gust house we will certainly be back again,

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit a review, and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have always tried to offer good old fashioned bed & breakfast style hospitality at St Georges and we really appreciate your comments. We are now getting a little more used to TripAdvisor and appreciate all the feedback. It’s nice to see that the work we have done to address the points raised on here seems to have been well received. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure all of our customers enjoy their stay with us as much as you have, and we hope to welcome you back soon.

Located midway between Shanklin Village and Shanklin Beach, easy walk to both. The decor is quite old fashioned but that is part of its charm. Room was adequate as was the bathroom. The tv provided was quite small, the free internet was sporadic. A typical large English breakfast was available, Mick, the owner was quite concerned when we chose to eat a fairly light breakfast. What we had was excellent. The bus station, from which buses are available to all parts of the island, is within walking distance and the railway station a short taxi ride away. Plenty of places to eat in the village. Mick was most helpful when my wife became sick, organising breakfast for her in bed and providing details regarding doctors. Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay.
