My wife and I had a fabulous 9 night stay at this great hotel. I doubt very much if anywhere in Shanklin or indeed the entire IOW could better it. From start to finish the standards never faltered and it was a real wrench to leave at the end of our stay. The room, beds, food, and facilities were of a very high standard. The attention and service from hosts Michelle, Caroline and Brian was exemplary. Our only problem now of course, by posting this much deserved review, is that everyone will quite rightly want to book the hotel and we may have difficulty getting booked in ourselves!!!!

We have just returned from a wounderfull 4 night stay at the Rowborough - where we were spoilt from the very first step through the front door - Great welcome from Caroline showing us around
showing us our very clean room - which stayed that way the whole of our time there.
Great breakfast- poached eggs were lovely - nothing was to much trouble - Michelle's cooking was excellent - mix and match any breakfast that we requiered. It was our wedding anniversary on the 16th July - the rose on the table was a fantastic surprise as was a card from them too.
Thank you Caroline, Michelle and Brian for making our stay in the Isle of Wight perfect.

My husband and i have just returned from a weekend away from this excellent hotel. They welcomed us as we stepped through door as if we were family friends and we had not been there before which to me means a lot. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast and dinners were to die for and the hosts Brian, Michelle & Caroline could not do enough for you to make sure that your stay was a memorable one. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and cannot wait till next year to come around so we can return

My husband and I spent a a very relaxing short break of 2 nights at the Rowborough Hotel last week and are very happy that we ended up at this hotel. It is well located for a very short walk to the beach or the Old Village, easy access to all.
Our room was cosy and absolutely spotlessly clean, looked forward to coming back to it each evening after a day at the beach and looked forward to breakfast each morning as it was cooked to perfection.
Caroline and Michelle are fantastic hosts, so very friendly, welcoming and above and beyond helpful! It is so refreshing to find people who really care about their guests and make such a huge effort to make them feel comfortable, thank you for making our short stay a very good one!

Spent a very peaceful week here and I personally would not have to look for any other hotel. A great friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As a party of four retirees we have just spent a week at the Rowborough and can honestly say this is the best small hotel we have stayed at in the UK and abroad. Our ensuit room was presented to us in a spotless condition and was maintained like that by the hotel staff throughout our stay. Breakfast was of a content and size that kept us going all day. As for dinner (three courses with a choice of three per course plus coffee) , we had intended to go out to eat each day but once we had tried a Rowborough dinner we stay in most days. Michelle, Caroline and Brian could not do enough for us and thier friendly manner spread to all the guests. If you are going to the I of W give the Rowborough a try - you will not be disappointed.

Our family of four stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are very welcoming and the hotel very clean. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is well positioned to explore Shanklin without having to take the car. We would recommend, many thanks for a relaxing short break.
