I have just returned home after a wonderful holiday in this hotel organised by Galloway Coaches of Suffolk. The Channel View Hotel would be hard to beat anywhere for its excellent facilities, very clean rooms, good choice of menu & quick service, all accompanied by helpful, friendly staff. Although I was travelling alone, I immediately felt part of a happy family atmosphere. The lovely pool was a treat too! Can't wait to return... Many thanks.

Just returned from 5 days in this hotel. The food is excellent and an interesting selection of vegetarian meals-obviously put some effort in there. The bedroom was very comfortable and soaps etc from the en suite replaced as soon as used. The standard of cleanliness was very good. All staff were very friendly and helpful and any requests were acted upon immediately. The swimming pool looked very inviting! A nice location- handy to the esplanade, cliff path walk and town. There are a few steps around the hotel so may be slightly difficult for some- there is a lift.

We recently spent three nights at this hotel with Crusader Holidays, our third visit here. We stayed in room 47 which was most excellent, very clean and well serviced. The only problem we had with the room was the window wouldn't stay open - it was very windy. Meals are excellent and service very fast, indeed, throughout all the staff are brilliant. The exterior of the property is showing signs of dilapidation in places - slipped tiles and rotten wood.
It was a little strange that whilst we could purchase a bottle of wine in the restaurant with our dinner, we were not allowed to in the bar itself.
The location is very convenient, with a nice beach and facilities close at hand.

Just spent seven days at the Channel View and we had a fantastic time. We were made to feel really welcome and every need was accommodated for. We would like to add that the restaurant staff were really helpful in particular Tara who looked after us. A great family hotel.

Room Tip: Select room great value and a side sea view

Just back from a 4 night stay at this excellent hotel.Which is made special by the friendly & efficient staff. We could not fault it in any way.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Just by a safe sandy beach & esplanade. With lovely seaviews from dining room, lounges & a large percentage of the guest rooms
The quality of our room was extremly good & immaculately clean & well presented. Likewise for the rest of the hotel.
The facilites provided were very good, especially the lovely swimming pool & jacuzi which we used every day. The drying & ironing room is a very thoughtful amenity, very useful for drying swimwear.
The service in the dining room was excellent and the staff were very efficient & extremly friendly & obliging.
The food was very good, well cooked & nicely presented. There was a varied choice on the menu, including vegetarian options & always a nice choice of deserts to tempt you!
This was our first visit to this hotel, a decision we made after being shown around when we were visiting the island last year.
We immediately felt that for the management & staff, the satisfaction & comfort of their guests was of paramount importance. They realise that people's holidays are important to them & have done all they can to ensure that their stay will be stress free & enjoyable. Which in our opinion they achieve admirably.
Once again we cannot praise the staff highly enough. Everyone was very efficient, cheerful & friendly & went out of their way to ensure guests felt comfortable & content.
As I said, this was our first visit, but not our last. We made a second booking whilst we were there, but this time for a longer stay. Well surely this is all the recommendation you need!

My wife and I have recently returned from a 3 night stay at the hotel. Our package was for half board and included the ferry to/from the mainland. From the moment we arrived, until we came to leave at the end of our stay, we loved the place. It was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfasts and dinners were really very good, both in terms of quality and quantity.

We made use of the hotel pool on our last evening - it was beautifully warm and, again, spotlessly clean in both the pool area and the changing rooms.
