We stayed at the Ryedale for 2 nights at the end of June 2014. We were not able to arrive until late on the Friday evening but John accommodated us and was there to meet us on arrival, and more over was happy to have a chat with us even at that late hour! Breakfast was delicious the next morning where we met Hayley, wife to John. Both John and Hayley are naturals at the B&B game. The room itself was spotless and immaculate and the little touches of the provision of toiletries, including cotton wool and cotton buds were unexpected. Overall, an excellent stay for us and we will be back.

The owners, Hayley and John, were very welcoming
The hotel was spotless. Our room had recently been refurbished , and we had the facility of an en-suite shower room.
There was a folder in the room which provided lots of information on the Isle of Wight, activities, places to enjoy etc. We found this very useful.
The breakfast is superb, with freshly made fruit salads, and the usual cereals and juices.
The speciality was the freshly cooked breakfast with the Ryedale sausage, absolutely superb!
There is a fridge in the dining room, the fresh milk provided was a lovely touch as I don't like the taste of the small tubs you generally get in hotels.
My friend has a wheat and dairy free diet, which I had forgotten to mention before we booked but this was absolutely no problem for the owners who accommodated her dietary requests with no fuss whatsoever.
We were given free parking at the Station car park, very close to the Ryedale.
It was a great stay and I would very happily visit again

Can't fault this place. Friendly couple running it. Plentiful and lovely breakfast. Despite my not having warned them in advance of my dietary needs, I was delighted they had gluten free sausages which were delicious. Comfortable beds. Very clean and fresh room. Double yellow lines outside hotel but they are set up to deal with this: a sign to put in car window re loading and a ticket for the railway station car park which was very nearby.

Just returned home after a 2 night stay. We booked a single room and a twin room both were absolutely spotless, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Breakfast was of a very high standard with quality ingredients and the sausages are made especially for the Ryedale which was a nice touch.
Location is perfect and within a short walking distance to beach, shops bars and restaurants.
Parking is free for residents of hotel at nearby station so again very convenient.
The owners Hayley and John are lovely and friendly and run an excellent establishment, will definitely return when next on the island.

What a wonderful place to stay, lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean and a great choice of breakfast. We particularly welcomed the use of the fridge in the dining room to keep fresh milk (supplied by the owners) so we could enjoy a real 'cup of tea' on return from another tiring day. The use of the station car park, again paid for by the owners, was very welcome and perfectly safe. We hope to return to the Isle of Wight one day and we would definitely stay here again. Thankyou for your hospitality and advice for local restaurants, we loved the Fine Nammet where we had our anniversary dinner, a fabulous place to eat and very reasonable too.

Room Tip: We chose one of the larger rooms at the front of the guest house, which can also be used as a family...

Fabulous guest house, very central with easy access to the station (right across the road) and a short walk to the beach. Free parking and wifi was also included. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was superb, the fruit salad with nine different fruits was lovely, we didn't need to eat until the evening after that! We had a lovely weekend to celebrate our anniversary, thanks so much to John and Hayley for a friendly, well run, very clean and modern B&B.
