“Lovely Manor Hotel, very friendly and comfortable”
Reviewed 25 July 2011

We stayed at Bourne Hall for 10 days during July. This is an ideal Hotel for those seeking a quieter type of hotel with very good standards of rooms and facilities. All the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times with particular thanks to Laura and Victoria & the Chef for the excellent standard of food served in the Restaurant. The hotel has a small but very good leisure facility with indoor ( nice and warm ) & outdoor ( brrr :-) ) pools + jacuzzi & sauna. We will definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly return in the future.

Room Tip: Our Premier Room was to a very high standard, spacious and comfortable

Myself and collegues stayed at bourne hall for 6 weeks during april and may on business. The Reception team were amazing and bent over backwards to make sure our stay was enjoyable even arranging ferry crossings from the mainland, meals were always to the highest standard and the restaurant team dealt with our special requests in a professional manner. The hotel itself had a relaxed atmosphere which made it easy to wind down after a busy day. The rooms were comfortable and always kept clean and tidy. I would strongly recommend bourne hall to anybody thinking of coming to the isle of wight on business or on holiday, i will certainly be back next year.

I have stayed at The Bourne Hall hotel for the past 6 weeks with work commitments. This hotel has excellent staff, particulary Laura on reception, for which nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large, comfortable, and the food is great, particularly the breakfast which is cooked to order. I have recommended this hotel to friends who are visiting this weekend for the IOW festival, and they are sure to have a wonderful time.

The leisure facilities here are also wonderful, with an indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and gym facilites with private showers.

I will definately use this hotel again - very soon - for a family break.

My husband and I spent a lovely two nights at the Bourne Hall over the bank holiday weekend. It's a stunning manor house with lovely gardens, two very nice pools and a jacuzzi. They pay very good attention to detail: the lounge is stocked with over a dozen special interest magazines, the receptionist brought us a lovely caffetiere of coffee while we waited to check into our room, and everyone had great suggestions for tourism and restaurants. There's a restaurant which serves a great English breakfast and although we never had dinner there it comes highly recommended from their regular clientele. There's even a games parlour in the basement with snooker, darts and a nightly movie shown in a home theatre setting. Our room itself was pleasant but not luxurious; the bed was a bit lumpy and small but still a nice sized room with a lovely view of the sea. My only complaint is that I had requested a room on a lower floor due to the fact that my husband and I both suffer from minor mobility issues; we were given a room in the modern wing on the top floor, which detracted from our relaxation ane enjoyment a bit. That said I booked this hotel fairly last-minute and via a discount website so I was unsurprised when we discovered our room wasn't a deluxe! Please note that Bourne Hall is up a hill and about a 15 minute walk straight uphill from the high street; I think we were among the only guests who didn't come by car.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the old wing

We visited this hotel with a party from west yorkshire ,we were met by the owner and his wife ,who welcomed us and provided tea and bisciuts whilst we signed in. our room was a large double with a nice bathroom and was very comfortable' the evening meals were a choice of three courses ,and were well presented and delicious, the breakfast was a good cold buffet choice and a full english breakfast ,which was excellent..There is a small games room in the basement, and a small cinema ,with a massive screen and surround sound, and a superb ,but small leisure suite,,and a real suntrap around the outside pool ,there is also a good indoor pool, all in all a very nice hotel with a friendly and attentive staff, and the view from the main door over sandown bay is awsome,,we were looked after right royally,,,,well done ,customer service at its best?????
