“A-ma-Zing!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2012

On our recent trip to the Isle of Wight, unfortunately we only found the Shoreside Inn on our last day and we were all gutted as I'm not sure we'd have gone anywhere else to eat, drink and be merry.

Firstly I'd like to give a massive 3 cheers for the Customer Service. "Andy" who was front of house was absolutely amazing. A genuine, happy, helpful, not pushy and pleasant guy - who simply could not do enough for you. Yes, of course he wants your money - but we gladly gave it to him, he deserves it!!!

We was at the Shoreside for breakfast and the English Breakfasts (and my vegetarian breakfasts) were fabulous. Not dripping in fat, beautifully cooked and presented and they were certainly not shy with the portions. Major compliments to the chef.

If a full on cooked breakfast wasn't what we wanted, then Andy suggested "how about one of our fresh pastries".... I nearly had both!

All washed down with Latte's and errrmmm a beer! Again a recommendation from Andy to try the Morrelli Beer (sorry if its spelt wrong) - superb, lovely, crisp and a fabulous recommendation.

We sat on the Terrace as it was wonderfully sunny day, we had a beautiful view of the sea, beaches and because of where the Shoreside Inn is position, you can see so much along the Esplande.

Inside the Shoreside it looked very modern, shiny and immaculate. The toilets were also extremely clean and not even a speck of dust in sight!!

Price wise, no-one can quibble - it was not at all expensive. The breakfasts were amazing, we didnt want the drinks to end (but we had to go home) and the service was tremendous.

We all agreed that we'll be returning to The Shoreside Inn, but this time, we'll be taking full advantage of their accommodation!!!!

Enjoy x

I would reiterate all the good reviews of this hotel and must say that if I decide to visit the Isle of Wight again I would only stay at this hotel , it is perfect in location (hotel parking is a must on this Island ) the quality of the food (you must try and evening meal ) and the customer service is second to none .
However for accomadation finished to such a high quality in fixtures and fittings and everything so well thought through there are a few very surprising let downs which takes a star off the five stars. The bedding is of poor quality which may be the reason it is tired and worn and needs replacing and the decorative cover was not clean. The cups with the tea and coffee facilities were cheap bog standard catering eqipment and were awful to drink out of and too small and there is no mirror in the bedroom near a plug socket so you have to dry your hair with a small hand mirror. All of the last three you would find much better quality in a Premiere Travel Inn so I cannot understand why this was so bad here in a boutique hotel.
Don't let it put you off though , staying here is a delight .

We stayed here end of last year and had a super time. Any and jo, the owners were kindness itself, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fabulous, as was the ensuite. Huge windows looked out onto the sea, stunning. Breakfast was good and either served inside or on the terrace where you can people watch. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Don't forget binoculars, views out to sea are interesting, lots of ships both big and sall use t...

This is a recently refurbished hotel with wow factor. We stayed in Suite 5 which is on the top floor with balcony and a fabulous view of the sea. The room itself is luxurious and very modern and the bed far too comfortable! Andy and Jo are fabulous hosts and we looked forward to recounting our adventures of the day before with them over a lovely breakfast. Having lived on the island all of their lives they were also a great source of local information. Highly recommended and we will certainly make a return visit.

Room Tip: The two suites on the 2nd floor have balconies.

Beautiful Hotel with views to adore from the balcony(s). This really is a modern and comfortable place to stay/relax,and many walks and sites close by. The hosts, Andy and Jo, are great. They made us feel at home straight away and will cater for any requirements(one of us being vegetarian) also a lovely choice of fresh coffees teas and fruit teas..(is a must for sitting and enjoying the views). Have already recommended to friends and look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: Suite 5. Great size, fantastic views, cosy in the eves.
