We stayed for 8 wonderfull days. This is a fantastic place to stay, Sarah and Garath are superb hosts, everywhere is spotless; we had a very large bedroom with a very comfy bed, and a huge bathroom. The breakfasts were excellent, with a different special option everyday. A lot of thought and planning has gone into this fantastic bed and breakfast and this shows. Would not hesitate to reccomend to anyone, and we look forward to the next time we can go and stay.

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day break. We found this bed and breakfast perfect for location, comfort and price.
The owners have clearly put a lot of care in decorating the rooms and providing lots of little bits of information to make the stay more pleasurable.
The breakfast is great- with one special breakfast everyday! The irish boxity was the perfect start to the day.
The owners also make you feel very welcome, they show just the right amount of interest without being intrusive and offer helpful advice on where to visit.
If you want a nice, quiet place to stay in a great location for a good price then this is the place for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed a four night break here. Shanklin itself is a very nice village with excellent restaurants and Old Shanklin Guest House certainly lived up to (and surpassed) our expectations. A very big Thank You to Sarah and Gareth for being such good hosts and for going above and beyond their duty of care by giving me a left to the nearest petrol station when this silly traveller was concerned about running out of petrol !! Many thanks again - we will be back

We stayed for four nights for a birthday treat. Lovely Guest House, lovely people and lovely food. We stayed in the St Helen's room. Lovely comfy bed and spotlessly clean. The lemon drizzle cake and tea on arrival was lovely. Couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend to others. Thanks Sarah and Gareth we'll be back! Sorry about the too many lovely's!!

A lovely Victorian house with 5 B&B Rooms, providing comfortable and well-appointed accommodation. Hosts Gareth and Sarah were helpful and sociable, and we were offered tea and cake on arrival. Breakfasts were exceptional and provided the ideal start to a day's walking.

We stayed in May and had a superb trip, it lived up to all the reviews we had read. We stayed in the Captain's Room which was excellent. In fact everything was excellent ! Welcoming hosts, fantastic breakfasts and a great location in Shanklin. You are a very short walk from shops and a very good selection of pubs and restaurants.
We travelled by train and we had only a short walk to station. We also used the very good value bus rover tickets, so the location is very good if you are travelling by train.

Stayed 2 nights at the OSGH in June and had a very relaxing pleasant stay there. When we arrived we were offered a cup of tea and slice of flapjack which was a lovely touch. We stayed in Godshill room which is a good size room, had plenty of space and a great shower also! The bed was extremely comfortable so a great night sleep was had on both nights!
Breakfast was delightful, plenty of choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurts plus a choice of a hot breakfast. I had Irish boxty and scrambled egg / smoked salmon on sour bread which was delicious! Well done to Gareth.
All in order myself and husband had a great stay in Shanklin, plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from which made our stay on IOW a great one! With the mini heat way too ... Who needs to go abroad!
