We returned last week from a great stay at Foxhills. Everything was wonderful. James was a great host and made us feel really welcome. Our room was lovely, plenty of room, spotlessly clean, and with a comfortable bed. You will never go hungry after one of the breakfasts. My husband can recommend the full English or black pudding stack! I particularly liked the home made jams and marmalade - thank you Paula. Shanklin is a great part of the island and Foxhills is just a short walk to all the local amenities, including some nice restaurants. We hope to return again soon.

Our Easter break was perfect thanks to James and Paula who really made us feel like home. The place is cosy, close to centre and rooms are very comfy. The breakfast is amazing with fresh products and large choice. We will definitely come back!

I booked our stay at short notice and in my haste, selected the 22nd March instead of the 15th in error (although fortunately, my stupidy did not extend to booking the ferry crossing on the wrong date!) We therefore arrived one week early!!
Despite this, we were welcomed with open arms by James and Paula who really are the perfect hosts.
Faultless accommodation, ideally situated in a beautiful part of the island which, together with our wonderful hosts, made for a truly memorable stay.
We have already committed ourselves to returning in August when hopefully, the weather will be a bit more favourable.

A delightful place to stay; organised ferry journey, warm welcoming host, comfortable, well decorated 'quiet' guest lounge, clean, well appointed bed room and superb breakfast. A few minutes walk from High Street. House quiet although close to road. We'd like to return in warmer weather.

Room Tip: Unable to comment !! Unoccupied rooms all locked, so only able to see our own room.

Stayed at Foxhills with a friend, exploring the Isle. It was a great location from which we could explore all around an everywhere. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and kept to a high standard - the toiletries we had there were absolutely top notch!
Please bear in mind that this is an old house - lots of beautiful period features, amazing architecture and a beautiful Victorian garden. The price to pay for that is a somewhat low water pressure in the shower, which was at times disappointing, but not a deal breaker.
The breakfast menu was great, a lot of choice, great homemade stuff to choose from. The owners were great with us having to leave very early on our last day and laid out some bits and bobs we could take away (this was done in coordination with them).

When we rang to inquire about rooms, James was very nice on the phone and even offered to book the ferry for us! This saved us a bit of hassle as he took care of everything. The actual BnB is really well presented and made us feel as if we were really at home. There was a personal touch to the place and we never felt as though we really in a BnB. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The jacuzzi room is a nice touch and well designed and thought out. There is a recommendation book in the dining room where previous guests have written about places where they have eaten around the island so u can read and decide where you would like to eat. There are spa treatments if you want one as well. Breakfast is second to none and Paula really outdid herself. All the condiments are homemade and really special and James's waiter service was top notch :) we couldn't have asked for more and the next trip down we know where we will be staying.

We loved our stay at Foxhills. We felt looked after and welcomed straight away. The whole place was tailor-made to give you a great holiday with so much information about the Isle of Wight. It was great to have the Spa there too. Even little things such as free wi-fi, when big hotels normally charge, made it a super place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely stay there again.
