My husband and I spent a lovely week at the Shanklin Hotel last month.Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped through the Hotel doors. Staff at all levels were extremely kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was side seaview which was lovely and decorated to a high standard. The meals in the Restaurant were superb with plenty of choice. This was our second visit and certainly won't be our last.

Room Tip: Request a room away from lifts and extractor fans.

We didn't quite know what to expect for our first 'Taste of Christmas' weekend at the Shanklin, 2 -5 November 2012. Well, it turned out to be great; our group of 26 thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - food, service, fun, and entertainment.
All meals were cooked and presented to a high standard, served promptly (if somewhat brusquely at times), and all staff were friendly and helpful.
It wasn't our first visit to the Shanklin and it certainly won't be our last.

Room Tip: Get a sea-view if you can.

After reading some of the reviews on Tripadvisor,Not too sure if it was the right decision to go on a Tinsel and Turkey weekend. But was I wrong. From the moment we got there the staff were brilliant.Food was plentiful and bought to the table in very quick time also very tasty.Good selection on the menu Breakfast and Evening meal,The room we had was with a sea view and well worth the extra few bob.Clean and very tidy, bed very comfortable. The entertainment in the
evenings was first class we never stopped laughing all night. So glad that we went best weekend we've had for ages,Can't wait to next year looks like we might go again early next year.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a view,it's spectacular worth the extra money

This is the first time that we have stayed at this hotel and it was a very good experiene. We had a sea view room which was spacious, clean and well presented. We were on a "Tinsel & Turkey" break the food was fantastic and plentyful. The entertainment on the monday was brilliant with the other nights ok. The staff are all very pleasant, helpful & very profesional. The hotel is well located both for town & beach. A fantastic break, looking forward to another visit. Many thanks to all at the hotel.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are well worth the extra.

This hotel keeps on providing a very good service, this is the 3rd time that we have stayed here & it was the best, the hotel has improved every time. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly & organised, our room was ready & we were given the keys, the room had only recently been refurbished, very clean, good colour scheme, & the bed was of a very good quality, the bathroom had a very good shower & everything worked. We had excellent service in the restaurant at all times & we were served quickly & efficiently, the food was of a very high standard with good sized portions. The 2 tribute acts, 'Rod Stewart & the Bee Gees' were both Top Notch & both were on for a good length of time, the 'video disco' operated by Dave, was excellent it brought back a few good memories and complimented the tribute acts very well. Great swimming pool & a large car park. Check out was good, bill was ready, very polite receptionist. All in all this was a really good weekend, we will definitely return in the future & have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front of hotel overlooking car park, it was very quiet.
