Upon arrival the first thing that hit me was the stale smell of the carpet that looks like it's hasn't been changed or cleaned for many years. I was stunned to find no air con as one would expect all hotels of this size would have. Instead had to settle for a floor fan courtesy of the management. Our room was very basic considering the price I paid. Furniture and fixings were very 70s. By far the worst part of our stay was the very noisy floor board and lack of sound proofing unless you don't mind getting woken up at 6.30 am which seems to last till 8 when the occupants from upstairs stomps down for breakfast at 8 a.m. Avoid room 30 by all means and I'm sure this would not be the only room that you might have problems with. Overall not a good stay and I will not be booking into this place if I do go for a holiday in Isle of Wight in the future.
