Just returned from a 4 day break at Langham Court in my opinion it is a good value hotel. Its not the Ritz but we did not pay Ritz price. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very welcoming, nothing was to much trouble for them. One guy was given a surprise Birthday cake from the staff which was very nice. Our room was 104 a twin room which was rather small but had a bath and shower and was clean and tidy. Tea and cofee facilities were provided on the dresser. The beds could do with a new matteress, they were noisy when turning over, but we got used to them by the end of the stay. The food was very nice, A full english to set you up for the day and a choice of 3 courses for dinner. On an evening their was entertainment of 60s singer Jim, Patsy a female impersonator, and a country western singer all very good. If you want good value and a simple clean room to lay your head without all the frills then the Lanham is for you.

Room Tip: 104 was quiet room but looked out on to somones kitchen

The outward appearance of the hotel appears old fashioned but inside the staff are welcoming and helpful. The decor in the rooms is good and are equiped with all you need for a lovley stay, as well as being clean and comfortable.
The hotel has an indoor pool but no changing rooms so bring a bathrobe if you intend using it as you have to walk to the pool from your room in your costume! At the pool there are towels and loungers for your conveinence.
Breakfast was included with plenty of choice and very attentive staff. A lovley start to the day.
We had two requests while there and these were granted straight away, nothing seems to much trouble.
There is entertainment in the evening which appears to be local acts, and a bar, and free parking.

Room Tip: If you want to use the pool ask for a ground floor room.

We have just stayed for 5 nights. We started in a nice room at the front which looked towards the sea but we found it very noisy because we were by the traffic lights. We live in the country so didn't sleep well the first night. We had room 106 which is probably the one pictured with the narrow access to the bed. I moved the bed over, put the bedside cupboard there & my husband used a chair for his bedside - problem solved. Anyway, we asked to be moved to a quieter room which was accomplished with little problem. We had no view, the toilet & bathroom were down a few stairs, but we slept very well. I had to turn the room around again!! because the beds were not facing the TV. Two strong chaps then came & moved the wardrobe as well. Once I'd sorted that out, we had a very pleasant stay and Mrs. C. took it all very well.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel, it was very good, not a runny egg in sight.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Yes, it's tired round the edges, but who cares for the price you're paying?
The hotel can also book your ferry if you're an independent traveler so you'll get a discount.

Had a Bank Holiday weekend break in May and stayed at this 3-star hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and the meals were very good as was the evening entertainment. However the bedrooms although adequate were a bit musty and needed a bit of updating. Having said that, it is ok for a short visit but I wouldn't want to stay for a week.

We stayed at the Langham during the May Bank Holiday 2013.

This hotel offers accommodation of a reasonable standard. Soft furnishings and furniture in the rooms are tired but functional nevertheless. The linen/towels were clean and there was no mould in our bathroom. What do people expect for the price they paid for their room? Our room, 109, wasn't the brightest room (due to the choice of decor), but we were very comfortable during our stay. My mum's room, 110, was much nicer! The pool area was fabulous - quiet and unspoilt. The breakfasts were plentiful and a good standard too. How anyone can complain about a hotel based on how they cooked the eggs amazes me!!! ...you only have to ask! ..or the noise in the lift - it clunked as it arrived at the floor - big deal!

The Manageress was more than helpful, she went out of her way to ensure our stay was the best, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us.

The hotel is in a great location for the beach/shops, etc - quite a nice distance to amble in the evenings and only a few minutes in the car.

I am hoping to book another visit to the Isle of Wight for the Spring Bank Holiday and hope there will be availability at the Langham. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: 110 was bright and sunny. Rooms on the front of the hotel could suffer noise from traffic and "smokers" outside during the evenings, but it all dies down quite early
