Very happy with our stay so far. Prior to our stay I called to see if they know of any discounts for ferry travel, they were able to book the ferry for me and for a brilliant price too, so before id even arrived I was very happy. Arrived at hotel, parked car in the car park in front of the hotel, friendly welcome, shown where breakfast is located, shown to room. The room is brilliant, room 20, right at the top of the building (steep stairs), great views, large size with separate dressing room and then the bathroom leading off of the dressing room area. Flat screen TV plus everything else we’d possibly need such as tea, biscuits, shampoo etc, iron and fan (hot weather this weekend). This room is very quiet and private (even private stairs leading up to it). Breakfast was gorgeous - loved the Eggs Royale. Nice location. Overall a great stay.

We were from overseas travelling around the UK for a month, usually staying in new accommodation every day. Hosts extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room very tired and old fashioned, bed not comfortable. Really needs re-vamping. Ate out for dinner as we needed to give notice if we wanted for food on a Sunday night. Not a problem though we walked down to a seaside restaurant. The host made the best eggs benedict worthy of a top class chef.

We are so sorry you felt room 16 was tired and old fashioned. That room has been recently decorated and has modern furniture new carpet and bathroom floor covering. Looking at your other reviews you had the same problem with other places you stayed in as well. The bed itself is new and obviously it wasn't suited to you, but there is nothing wrong with it. Yes we require 24 hrs notice for evening meals and are glad you mentioned the point, we use fresh produce etc, because we are small we have cut down on our wastage bill by only catering for guest's that have pre-booked supplying the freshest ingredients. Thank you for the compliment on the eggs Benedict.
England is a place with many buildings with history, and as such they have character, its doesn't mean they are old fashioned.

Myself and my husband stayed here for a short stay. The building is beautiful and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely with a sea view. Breakfast was the best, with an amazing selection of cooked breakfasts to choose from. Will throughly recommend

This hotel is owned and run by husbad & wife Dez & linda,a very friendly and welcoming couple. The Hotel is very clean and in very good decorative order. Room no 8 which we had was great with plenty of tea and coffe and bottled water supplied, the bathroom was well stocked with good shower gel, shampoo etc etc.the beds were very comfortable. Food is very good both for breakfast and dinner. We highly recomend this hotel. Mike & Millie Rance, 16 to 19 January 2018.

We've been warmly welcomed to the Belmont Hotel. The room was not big but it was comfy. The shower could have a bit more pressure so to be more pleasant. I wasn't able to use the wi-fi properly but that's not of great importance. I wish we could have had a bit more choice during breakfast, with lighter options as well (I like eggs but maybe not every morning). I would recommend this place to friends.
